Sens Talk / Future of Duchene, Stone, Dzingle & Boucher
« on: February 18, 2019, 11:57:33 PM »
Hi Folks

I know it was eons I posted something here. Glad to see it’s not shut down yet. 😁 Just wanted to open up a thread on what’s going on right now with the sens camp. Will Duchie, Stoner,Dzinger re-sign or will they all go on the trade block? I guess time will tell. Personally I think we will lose Stone and Duchene. Think about it they are in their prime now and do they want to sign with a team that may not be a play off contender for at least 5 plus years from now? Not very likely. I am not sure about Dzingel I have a feeling we will keep him. Lastly Guy Boucher what will happen to him? Most likely he will be let go as his contract is up this summer.  I hope Luke Richardson would be considered a candidate. Thoughts,  comments??  please share.

Thanks

Sens Talk / Congrats to our Sens
« on: May 28, 2017, 09:42:40 PM »
I can't say I wasn't disappointed they lost game 7 against the Pens but hey I forgive them :) and we all seem to forget how incredibly difficult it is to even advance to this stage.... I just wanted to say thanks to our team for anamazing season and run. I am proud to be a Sens fan and even my wife who refused to watch them for years says now I have a reason to watch them. She was amazed at this run and I say we all are. Anyways I believe we are just scratching the surface of something new and very exciting years to come. Huge cudos to Dorian and Boucher and of course the biggest one goes to this amazing team, what an effort :)

Just my 2 cents worth

Sens Talk / Assessment so far
« on: November 11, 2016, 01:21:49 PM »
I think over all we are playing a much more aggressive defensive game, which has been so needed for too long. We do need start shooting the puck a lot more. I think it will come with time. I really do like Guy Boucher style as a coach. Lets hope Nicholle can win the battle over her cancer, Craig has played unbelievably well considering all he is currently going through. The shut out against the oilers was a real tear jerker just an amazing game I will never forget. The new goalie Mike Condon, oh boy is he ever good, love his style of play. Style reminds me a bit of Carey Price, the calmness etc. Just my 2 cents.

What are your thoughts so far? Would love to hear. Thanks

Sens Talk / How will the Sens do in the new season?
« on: October 14, 2016, 09:54:17 AM »
I like what I am seeing in Guy Boucher and his coaching staff so far. We need a good solid structured defense and power play. I think we will see the Sens as one the most improved teams this season.
Even though it was a pretty lame game against the leafs, we got the win and that's all that matters. I think we will probably need about 12-13 games to see the actual changes implemented.

Any thoughts please post below I'd love to hear some...

Sens Talk / Who will be Sens new coach?
« on: April 15, 2016, 04:08:25 PM »
Long time no see

First of all I have to say although we all knew it was coming down to firing Cameron, Melnyks comment 3 weeks prior was unnecessary and quite harsh. I liked Cameron but he just made too many weird moves/decisions.

I personally think Randy Carlisle would be a great coach. He has the experience and also Lord Stanley under his belt. What do you guys think?

Sens Talk / Should the Ottawa Senators Move Mike Hoffman?
« on: July 15, 2015, 11:19:41 AM »
I personally say "NO WAY" I am getting nervous arbitration date set for July 30th.
Don't care if we lose Chiason though. Any thoughts?

Sens Talk / Lehner & Legwand to Buffalo for 21st draft pick
« on: June 26, 2015, 10:12:19 AM »
Just heard this??? So really no return on these 2 players??
I just don't get it... :icon_angry2:
Ok I realize that Murray is ridding Legwands contract as well but still, I thought this was going to bring at least something in return.

Should the Ottawa Senators hold on to their spot in the NHL playoffs, after having rallied from a 14-point deficit, they will have pulled off the greatest comeback to the post-season in more than two decades.

Sens Talk / Should Cameron have continued playing Hammond?
« on: March 12, 2015, 12:44:25 PM »
Hi Guys,

I think personally Cameron should never have started playing Andy.
Why mess with what was working? :icon_angry2: I just don't understand, maybe we would have had a fair playoff chance would he continued Hammond. Just my 2 cents

Any ideas who gets the nod tonight? Hammond I truly hope....

Sens Talk / Karlsson named as Captain - Thoughts?
« on: October 03, 2014, 09:44:21 AM »
I really believe Karlsson could handle the captaincy pressure. I may think he is a little bit too young perhaps. but all in all I think it will work out for the best, what do you guys think?
