I guess they’re all gone now anyways. Let’s see if the young guns can carry the load.

Sens Talk / Future of Duchene, Stone, Dzingle & Boucher
« on: February 18, 2019, 11:57:33 PM »
Hi Folks

I know it was eons I posted something here. Glad to see it’s not shut down yet. 😁 Just wanted to open up a thread on what’s going on right now with the sens camp. Will Duchie, Stoner,Dzinger re-sign or will they all go on the trade block? I guess time will tell. Personally I think we will lose Stone and Duchene. Think about it they are in their prime now and do they want to sign with a team that may not be a play off contender for at least 5 plus years from now? Not very likely. I am not sure about Dzingel I have a feeling we will keep him. Lastly Guy Boucher what will happen to him? Most likely he will be let go as his contract is up this summer.  I hope Luke Richardson would be considered a candidate. Thoughts,  comments??  please share.

Thanks

Sens Talk / Congrats to our Sens
« on: May 28, 2017, 09:42:40 PM »
I can't say I wasn't disappointed they lost game 7 against the Pens but hey I forgive them :) and we all seem to forget how incredibly difficult it is to even advance to this stage.... I just wanted to say thanks to our team for anamazing season and run. I am proud to be a Sens fan and even my wife who refused to watch them for years says now I have a reason to watch them. She was amazed at this run and I say we all are. Anyways I believe we are just scratching the surface of something new and very exciting years to come. Huge cudos to Dorian and Boucher and of course the biggest one goes to this amazing team, what an effort :)

Just my 2 cents worth

Sens Talk / Assessment so far
« on: November 11, 2016, 01:21:49 PM »
I think over all we are playing a much more aggressive defensive game, which has been so needed for too long. We do need start shooting the puck a lot more. I think it will come with time. I really do like Guy Boucher style as a coach. Lets hope Nicholle can win the battle over her cancer, Craig has played unbelievably well considering all he is currently going through. The shut out against the oilers was a real tear jerker just an amazing game I will never forget. The new goalie Mike Condon, oh boy is he ever good, love his style of play. Style reminds me a bit of Carey Price, the calmness etc. Just my 2 cents.

What are your thoughts so far? Would love to hear. Thanks

Sens Talk / How will the Sens do in the new season?
« on: October 14, 2016, 09:54:17 AM »
I like what I am seeing in Guy Boucher and his coaching staff so far. We need a good solid structured defense and power play. I think we will see the Sens as one the most improved teams this season.
Even though it was a pretty lame game against the leafs, we got the win and that's all that matters. I think we will probably need about 12-13 games to see the actual changes implemented.

Any thoughts please post below I'd love to hear some...

I remember the game chat sessions we use to have, it was quite a few joining in every time. I think possibly remarketing this site might pick up a few more. Also adding twitter Facebook and possibly Instagram could possibly revamp the traffic. Just a thought.

At least nice to know Marc Crawford will join as assistant coach :) I've always liked him as a coach.

Also Guy Boucher doesn't need another coaching job right now that GUY needs Anger management. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBUUPN_eaMU&feature=share

Well Guy Boucher it is. I can't help but feel this was another budget decision. The best coach out there is someone who hasn't coached in the NHL in what, 2 or 3 years? Yikes.
Unreal I am so fed up with Melnyk, He's a big fat cheapskate and always has been. Sens will never win the cup with him as an owner.
Oh well lets see where we'll end up next year maybe 9 or 10th?
Ugghhhh....

Bob Hartley now available as well. Another Ottawa-area guy.
Thanks, but no thanks! I truly believe Boudreau would be the right man for the job. Lets get him signed today  :ccclapping: :ccclapping:

I heard that Yeo already had a second interview just before Boudreau got fired.  And apparently Boudreau's daughter, who lives in Ottawa, tweeted something about Boudreau coming to Ottawa, but that could just mean that he's coming to visit his daughter.
I hope she means he's coming to Ottawa as Coach for the Senators. Would be totally awesome!!!

If the ducks gets knocked off in the first round I'd say Bruce Boudreau (if he gets fired) would be an excellent candidate!
Maybe go after "Iron Mike" Keenan?  :)  As MH says it wont be any rookie coach, thank goodness.
Oh and also did you guys read the article about how Sens should go after Stamkos should he become UFA?

http://www.ottawasun.com/2016/04/15/ottawa-senators-should-make-pitch-for-steven-stamkos-if-he-becomes-a-ufa

Dream on I say. I am sure Ottawa is not on his list for sure.

Long time no see

First of all I have to say although we all knew it was coming down to firing Cameron, Melnyks comment 3 weeks prior was unnecessary and quite harsh. I liked Cameron but he just made too many weird moves/decisions.

I personally think Randy Carlisle would be a great coach. He has the experience and also Lord Stanley under his belt. What do you guys think?
