We shop a lot in the Salmon Run Mall in Watertown when we are in that neck of the woods.

Yeah, I read good things about that mall. But that's an extra hour each way from the border.

I'm not a big fan of that mall.  Not a lot of stores that carry stuff I'm interested in.  It's demographic is the families that live in the nearby military base.

My 15 year old daughter likes a lot of the clothing stores because some of the stuff is different than what's available here.  There is a great Head Shop in there with some cool art and they sell these really nice tie dyed shirts that I like.  I've bought a few there over the last couple of years.

I do see your point though.  They've got two huge stores in there pretty much based on hunting.  Definitely not my scene.

What else is there in Ogdensburg for shopping? OS mentioned Lowes, but are there any big malls, bookstores, etc? We just might make it a day whenever we drop by.
You want to hit Watertown for shopping. We were there the first week of August and no exaggeration at all ... 1/2 the plates in the parking lot were from Ontario. I couldn't believe it! We spent a week in New York so we didn't have to pay duty and the prices there are insanely low compared to here. We came home with some real good deals. It's really cheap to stay down there as well, the food at restaurants is crazy cheap and gas is a lot cheaper as well.

Yes, but you forgot to add "easy".  :icon_hiding2:

You don't have to be 'cheap' as you're already paying 40% - 50% less for almost everything.  :(

Isn't that the truth.  same product, once it crosses the boarder it is suddenly double the price, doesn't change either even when our dollar is at parity.  When consumers complain businesses simply say they can't lower the prices as the stock they have was purchased prior to the dollar reaching parity, yet the moment the dollar drops, prices increase as a result.

Are the vehicles held in a safe place, or just in a open parking lot Laurel?

There is a new shipping place in Ogdensburg for receiving internet ordered stuff - they are probably closest to the bridge too.  They have two names one is US2CAN Logistics and they also have another name something like Oburg Package Center.  Address is at 120 Chimney Point Dr - you can see it from the toll booth.  For me they seem to be much better organized than the UPS store at the mall where the lineup to get stuff or ship stuff is always painful.  I also used the corporate center for a couple of months for business shipments and they were a total disaster/nightmare - This other place I've used for business shipments for several months now and its been great, very happy.  If you want more info you can look them up at www.ogdensburg-parcel-package-shipping-service.com to get their exact address

We have been using them daily since January 2012 for our business shipments, no problems.  Highly recommend them.

One of our shipments to the UPS store in Oburg disappeared, never to be found.

We used the corporate center for a couple of months and they botched almost every shipment, it was a disaster.
