I totally agree. My high school is so crowded it has 3000 people. Its quite difficult to get through the hallways cause its like a gridlock.

My school is exactly the same, It could take me up to 10 minutes to walk from the tech building witch is on the other side of the field, to the 4th floor on the main building because people walk too damn slow, or people are just fartin' around taking up the hallway

People that ignore signs around a building. There are nearly a dozen signs as you meander your way into the changeroom, and subsequently, the shower and somehow some guy missed all 12 signs, and managed to dodge the caution tape, and snuck his way in to the shower.

He deserves to get drenched in the sewage that's waiting to fall from the shower head.

F****** tests in an upper year Social Science class....more specifically a course which is cross listed as a philosophy class.  As far as I am concerned no upper year Humanities course should ever have a test…that’s not academia that’s high school.  Memory work if you will…BS.  It’s a waste of my time, the Prof’s time – everyone’s f****** time!  

For the love of Socrates it’s ridiculous.  And I’ll tell you why there’s a test too.  I am taking a third year course CYBERMORALITY which is cross listed with the computer studies department.  And while those kids might be able to make the prettiest webpage or create a nifty little program they can’t write a paper to save their lives!  Therefore, we have to do high school like tests which just down right piss me off.

Moreover, the course never used to be like this….but there’s a new prof who’s giving more time to the computer science kids than they deserve.  We spent a month and a half on ethical theories…in a third year course!  I mean the grades were nice – but what a waste of time.  The old prof, who was my boy – I took two of his other courses and they were great, ran the class the right way.  He basically told students on the first day that if they have not written a philosophy paper before they should probably leave.  The course mainly a philosophy course looking at new technologies from a philosophical/moral perspective.  

Anyways that’s all I have right now…I’m pissed….especially since I have real work that I would much prefer to be working on – like tearing Paul Martin a new one with regards to his obsessive prioritization  of budget cutting and deficit reduction in the mid nineties.  By the way I will also be tearing Mike Harris a new one….not that it hasn’t already been done a million times over.

lol, I had a Philosophy test in highschool where we had to write an essay at the end of an exam.  It was one of those "why" questions ... so I just wrote "why not?" -- FULL MARKS!  No joke.

Sorry, that just reminded me of it.

I have anything thing that pisses me off.  I am not even living in Ottawa but I hate how there's almost no movie theatres downtown.  There's only World Exchange and Rideau and they both suck!  You shouldn't have to go to the West or East ends of the city to find a respectable/modern cinema.  This must change...I mean you can't even really go downtown for dinner and a movie!

I agree with any pet peeve about school work.  I just got another major assignment on top of my 4 others.  Hey, and you know what and this is how sad it is..? I haven't been procrastinating, for once in my life I can say that truthfully.

I'd like to turn the tables and welcome more school work. I've finished all my readings for the rest of the semester, and got a major assignment back which I got 90% on. All I have left is to write one Canadian History essay due December 6th and then it's exams, baby.

I knew I was better than you Szuper, but it's just nice to have this kind of evidence.

Group Projects. Sure they are easy in high school, everybody should basically live in the same area due to school boundries. But when you get into college/universities its totally different as people live all across Ottawa and outside.

I understand its required by the ministry, but why must the college dump all group projects in 1 semester. Last year we had 1 group project in first semester, this year, every single damn class has a group project, and they aren't small. I've been working on one for Civil Procedures for the past 2 months, and only 3 of 4 parts are done and handed in.
