As I am a writer from Ottawa, I thought you'd find this interesting:
http://primetimesportsreview.blogspot.com

I have been a listener to Bob McCown for a really long time.  I don't agree with him (even the majority of the time), but am compelled by his opinions.

The blog I started a couple of weeks ago has a review on each of his shows, not only from an Ottawa perspective, but sports perspective.

Any thoughts or feedback that the Sens Network Family has for me would be great!

Cheers!

TSN2 has picked up some of the Sens games that weren't suppose to be broadcasted.

Rogers better have it on Center Ice then...

I'll be really pissed if they don't!

They appear to have changed it after I updated mine. Mar 21 wasn't there. Jan 29 is still being shown on Sportsnet's schedule. Mar 29 was shown on the schedule as being CBC, but now says SNET. That isn't on Sportsnet's schedule, so it appears they changed Jan 29 to Mar 29. CBC's own site still says they're showing Mar 29.

Not sure what the reality is, but I changed mine to match the official site.

so is this the final, final, final schedule?  Scary, do you think this will be one of those years where broadcasters will carry non-televised games 24 hours before the game?

I'm afraid to ask you for the tv schedule in PDA format...something tells me this will change like crazy...

Guys - Normally I sit in the 300 level, but I will be sitting pretty close on Thursday.

I am getting my buddies DSLR camera - what settings should I put on it to optomize the shots.  He said he has a basic lens though.

Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated!

Phillips rules and all the Phillips haters sucks.

You guys do realize that if Phillips was on the blue team, he'd be the #1 D?  On our team, I think he's numbers two behind Volchy...

Ya, I tried my best to explain to the guy next to me that Neil's elbow came NOWHERE near Avery's head.  Maybe in the follow-through did his elbow leave is waist area, but it was total shoulder on shoulder in that hit.

Me too - in section 314 with a dude that was doing his best Joe Bowen impersonation...kept getting updates on every part of our game as well as the leaf game and at one point I told the guy, 'while you are giving me updates of shitty teams, can you give me the update on the panthers game?'

Folks, another choice is coming...do we give Spezza 7ish for the next 3 years or do you want 4 first round picks?

They sell out fast ... but they always have some down in the office (gate 2 down the stairs) if you get desperate. They have all the team records and minor league players too.

they sell them at the office??

On another form, a poster named since92 ... he is the brother of one of the Sens trainers ... said ...

"In the wake of the marathon meeting between Heatley's team and the Sens ending without resolution, it appears that a deal may not be reached before Heatley's self-imposed deadline of Wednesday's home opener against the Leafs. Word around the rink is that this most certainly means that the Sens will be looking to trade Heatley out of O-Town.

"Speculation amongst the office staff is that Murray would be looking at getting this done sooner rather than later. Despite two 50 goal seasons, Heatley is a UFA after this season, and there is some question as to what the Sens would get in return for the young gun.

"Word around the office is that they are looking at either Charles Barkley, Evander Hollingfield or sniper Mike Weir. Each brings their own unique talent that the Sens do not possess."

You know, I really didn't believe this, but thought that I'd pass it on. It must be true, because a) it came from an inside source (or so my anonymous web source says it does) and b) I read it on the Internet.

 :smily1263:

I think what has been said is logical.  The next few days will be interesting and (hopefully) should provide clarity into what will happen...

Source: hf boards...

Quote
"A poster on another forum "JoseCorvo" has a source inside the sens ogranization and here is what he has to say:

"Well here it is...

The Heatley camp wants 8 mil. Murray and the Senators countered with 7. When Heatley's people said no to that offer Murray's response "Well then Dany, we are going to have to trade you"

Murray then called Spezza and told him to get in touch with his agent because they will begin working on that deal instead.

So take this as you will. Murray seems intent on not losing Heatley for nothing this off season. The next few days will be critical. Murray will be looking for potential trade partners and it will be up to the Heatley camp to either come down the one million, or perhaps extend their deadline.

Along with that, efforts continue to be made to move Redden but we all know what the issues are there.

Sorry if this ruins anyone's day, cause it sure threw a kink into mine. "

Again, this is a rumor and JoseCorvo could be Eklund or Garrioch for all we know...I'd be shocked if this had any credence but if we start hearing about Spezz negotiating a new contract then...

There will be no better time to trade Heatley then now (as far as getting value for him goes).  If he isn't going to sign here, ain't it time to boot him?
