Sweet nectar is it warm down here. It's been 100 (Fahrenheit of course) down here most of the week, and it's supposed to hit 90 in pretty much every state in the next few days.

I have to drive back to Colorado on Wednesday and Thursday, my car (and myself) better not explode.

Looks like he will finally be able to come over this year. Excited to see what he can do.

General Hockey Discussions / Tuomo Ruutu...retiring?

Ruutu was one of the premeire young players in the game a few years back, but his career has been crushed by several injuries, including a few major knee injuries and a major back one this year.

After the Bronze medal game for the WC's, he said that it might be his last game and that he's going decide this summer if he wants to keep playing.

This would just suck. Ruutu was drawing comparisons to Forsberg and deservedly so, he was a beast.

Sens Talk / Where do you put Havlat when he returns?

Just listening to the pre-game show, Gord Wilson said Havlat will play with Fisher and Schaefer when he comes back. Personally, I don't agree with that. We know Marty plays well with those two, but I would like to see Marty play with Arnason when he gets back, at least to see if they can develop some chemistry with each other before the postseason.

What does everyone else think?

Apparently this guy is going to be a UFA this summer when I thought he was going to be an RFA. I really hope the Sens can get this guy locked up long term, because if he hits the open market, he's as good as gone, especially with Axelsson being taken off the market.

Has anybody seen this documentary? I just watched it on the Discovery Channel and I'm just fascinated by everything about it. If anybody hasn't seen it, I would highly recommend it. For the people that have seen it, what do you think about it?

Sens Talk / Volchenkov Another Olympic casualty for the Sens?

Anton Volchenkov didn't play at the end of the 2nd period and at all in the 3rd period in Russia's win today. No one is sure what happened to him, not even Russian fans. Hopefully he's OK and they were just resting him in case it was a minor injury, because the game was out of reach.
