Apparently Ottawa is now in the mix to acquire this guy, I heard on TSN and CBC tonight, Darren Dreger mentions that Murray is making a run to sign him, I don't know a whole lot about the guy, anybody else know what this player would bring to the team ???

Now that the season is over I wonder what Sens will be playing in this tournament?
Heres the link to the tournament website:

Canada: Heatley, Spezza (if his injury isn't serious), Phillips
Germany: Schubert would be a lock
Switzerland: Gerber is a lock
Russia: Volchenkov should be there
Slovakia: Mesarzos maybe?

2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs / Anaheim
« on: April 13, 2008, 10:37:09 AM »
With all the negative talk surrounding Ottawa, it will be interesting to see if people start talking the same about Anaheim who are in the exact same position as Ottawa, actually its worst because they have no key injuries like the Sens have and they lost both games to Dallas on home ice, this is just something I thought about watching the Ducks and Stars game last night

Sens Talk / Pratice Today
« on: December 27, 2007, 02:46:09 PM »
This was from TSN:

"Ray Emery, who has started just two games in the last eight, vented some frustration with his lack of playing time today. As he was leaving the ice, Emery slammed his stick on the boards then swung his stick, taking out the water bottles on top of the boards. As he was leaving, he hurled his stick into the stands."

I can see why Ray is fustrated, if you watched the game last night gerber let in two very questionable goals last night, espically with back to a back to back game situation i think paddock should go with Ray tonight.  I think as a coach you always like to see emotion from your players but is this crossing the line?

Sens Talk / Clutch Goaltending
« on: November 29, 2007, 10:20:28 PM »
For sure gerber and emery dont know what this means, i think emery well get the start on saturday and unless he allows 6 or more goals, he should get the start on tuesday, I think all emery needs is a bit of confidence in himself, the coach, and the players.

Sens Talk / Not So Good Ducks?

I give all the credit to the ducks, they where the better team, but we made them look alot better then what they actually are.

Sens Talk / Ottawa Senators = Cleveland Cavaliers
« on: June 01, 2007, 09:04:13 PM »
The Ottawa Senators lost the two first games on the road in their series.  Cleveland was in the exact same situation, they never gave up, won game 3,4 at home, and won last night in Detroit.  I know people are going to say that is basketball and this is hockey, and yes physically the games are different, but i beleive mentally all sports are the same.

Lebron James carried his team in a time when they needed it.  I look for Daniel Alfredsson to do the exact same.
