Sens Talk / Re: Time to move Anderson..

Dont get me wrong, I love Anderson.   That being said he was always a "stop gap" while we wait for Lehner to be ready.   How many years can you keep Lehner in Binghamton?   Either you trade Anderson, or you trade Lehner (he may demand a trade if you leave him in Bingo any longer).

If you really believe Lehner is the future in net for the Sens then the time to move Anderson is right now, the season is shot...as well as he's playing he can't score for us too.

Sens Talk / Time to move Anderson..

His value has never been higher than it is right now.   With Spezza gone for the year and Karlsson gone for the year we may as well get a good draft pick for Andy now and bring Lehner  up next season as the #1 going forward.   Bishop can shoulder the load for the rest of this season.

Thanks for curb stomping our season Cooke.   Ya lousy piece of $h!t  :icon_angry2:   :icon_banghead:   :paddle:   :crier:

Anything But Hockey / Re: The Big Rig Brewery

Went there for my birthday recnetly with 16 or so others.  Service was reasonalbly good although one of my guests waited 45 minutes for a beer then had to ask again.   Food was so so, some really liked what they had, others not so much.  In particular I had the #4 burger which seemed to be a burger with toasted Rye Bread as the bun, however there were two slices on top and two on bottom with some sort of stuff in between.   Flavor was ok, but almost impossible to eat because it was a good six inches high with all the bread and it was crusty so couldn't be squished down.

The beer on the other hand was really good.  Had the in house pale...

All in all I'd go again and try something different on the menu but if I never made it back it wouldn't be the biggest dissapointment ever.  loved the feel of the place as well.

At this point I don't think anyone wants to play US....just saying, who wants to play an underdog 8 seed with a goaltender who's on fire and a team that's playing with crazy team chemistry.

Sens Talk / Spezza dissapearing act.
« on: April 17, 2012, 10:47:37 AM »
I'm not usually one to bash a particular player but My god where is Jason Spezza out there?   He and Michalek are almost invisible..and when I do notice Spezza, it's because he's being gently pushed off the puck or turning the thing over.   We can't win this series when our best players are doing nothing but taking penalties and passing up on glorious shooting opportunities from hash marks to make a pretty pass into a crowd infront of the net.

Our power play was absolutely useless. Alfie out, Spezza in the penalty box for most of them, and Karlsson on the bench in favor of Chris (two goals this season) Phillips.   Something is wrong when your PP unit is Phillips, Kuba, Konopka, Neil and Turris!!

Feel bad for Anderson, played his butt off last night and got zero run support.   Lundqvist is great sure, but he's human and we have to stop making him look good and making his life so easy by shooting EVERYTHING low where he covers the whole bottom of the net.   Shooters, take some V!agra and get it up for god's sake!!

Spezza, grow a sack FFS.

Sens Talk / Re: SENS knock off Rangers in 1rst round Agreed?????
« on: April 17, 2012, 10:43:14 AM »
Well, I don't think you should go after a player every time he hits one of your stars BUT you should when it's a questionable hit.  Neil did fight Boyle but it didn't amount to much as we all know Boyle is a wussy despite being a pretty big individual.

Unfortuntely Boyle has been doing his talking where it counts..on the scoreboard.   Scored in all three games and one or both game winners for the Rangers?

Pens and Flyers should be great.  I will pick Pens in 5.

Tough way to start a series blowing a 3-0 lead at home in Game 1 to lose in OT.   Pens need to bounce back quick and take game 2 or they're in big trouble.

$5 says the Rangers score in the first two minutes of the game :S

Then we storm back and thrash them in the third.

(Sens in 6)

Interesting facts:

Sens have won 11 of last 14 at MSG
Craig "Chicken Fingers" Anderson is 6-0 lifetime at MSG

Yup, playing ourselves out of a top 2 pick..is this organization completely retarded?  When we want to win to be in contention we crap the bed, when we want to lose to get a top 2 pick, we start winning to F&#@ that up..can we do NOTHING right!?!?!?!   :icon_banghead:

I might be not seeing something quite right, or my logic is scewed from a massively dissapointing season so maybe I'm oversensitive...

but as much as I pull for Bingo to make the playoffs etc etc because they're the Sens farm team....they are the FARM team!  The purpose of said team is to develop the prospects for the NHL, the very nature of a farm team means rosters will be very transient and volatile.  Holding it against the managment of the NHL team for "raiding your talent" is ridiculous, that's what they're THERE for!!

Stop booing our prospects and know your role Bingo fans :) Do your part to develop the kids by stroking ego's and providing a POSTIVE atmosphere for them to develop.   If you can't get on board with that, move to a larger city that has an NHL team :)  :icon_hiding2:

<some sarcasm but not much>

I have a feeling Vancouver's 1st round pick is going to be VERY late first round...think I'd want a prospect and a pick if Phillips goes to Van city.
