My comments for Hasek should probably be kept to myself.

Where'd all the doom and gloom fans go? I'm just wondering, they've been oddly silent this evening. Come on, come back. Tell us how this team doesn't have the heart or the will to win. Please.

Oh, that's beautiful.

If we win the Cup, who cares what Leaf fans will be saying?

Didn't look good, but hopefully it looked a lot worse than it is.

Good move by Mucks. I like it.

Sportsnet just said there might be something cooking with the Sens. I have no idea what that could mean, plus I wouldn't put much stock into it considering it's Sportsnet.

as twisted as this sounds, this now MINOR injury may be a blessing in disguise. hasek said there's only a 30% chance that he will play in the olympics which means that he will be resting for the stretch drive.

i guess better this happening now than during sens games

And to think, he could've gotten the rest and skipped the whole injury if he'd just chosen to stay home.

It sucks, doesn't it? That's what the Hasek squad in this thread has been doing from the start with those of us who don't think he should have went.

It's been loads of fun, huh?

I wouldn't laugh at them too much, considering without Hasek, that'd be our situation as well.

Maybe we're too reasonable, let's start a Hasek-bashers'-bashing thread

No one was bashing him. Some of us questioned his involvement in the Olympics when he was chosen for the team. Things like today just prove our point that maybe, just maybe, it wasn't a good idea. Who's bashing?

I'm sorry. I should've known that if I wasn't kissing Hasek's ass, I was being unreasonable.  :laugh2: My mistake.

Whoever compared him to the entire canadian olympic team? :icon_questionable:

Read the thread?

I mentioned that Hasek had already won a medal for his country. He'd done his duty. So it wasn't absolutely necessary for him to go over there again when he came to hockey to win the Cup. Somehow, people think that Canada shouldn't compete because of that same logic.

Why do the Canadians bother to show up? Havent they won enough gold medals already? :A_laughing_matter:

All I was saying is that he has nothing to prove. And it wouldn't have been an awful thing if he had simply declined. Please stop comparing a 41 year old injury prone goaltender who came back to hockey to win a Stanley Cup... to the entire Canadian Olympic team. Okay? Thanks.

Let's not get ridiculous.
