It was awesome this past Saturday....  they played Cincinnati and we got the 3rd largest crowd in Comerica Park history, the place was rocking and they won in extra innings.....

I'm glad to see that they are doing so good, hopefully they will keep it up...

Sens Talk / Re: Captain Discussion
« on: May 17, 2006, 02:18:49 PM »
You don't have to forget that there is a lot of great Captain that had the C for a long time before they won the Stanley Cup.

Example, Steve Yzerman waited what, 11 years before winning his first Stanley Cup.

Alfie has been the captain since 1999.......

I wouldn't blame or take the C off Alfie just because of the performance in the playoffs, I really do believe that he's a good leader and that they will win as a team, everybody has to play together......

If that is the case, there is a lot of captains that should loose their C for next season.......

He is signed for next season with the Coyotes at a price of $3.192 million

But like you, I would love to see him with the Sens.......

I have an idea.....Let's try and convince Hasek to come out of retirement....maybe he can lead us to the Stanley Cup. While we're at it let's trade Hossa for Heatley and lets trade Bochenski for Arnason.

Good Idea Reds_06, I agree with you....

Isn't what we did this year ????????

Thanks Rose !!!!!  LOL

I mean, right now, my parents go and buy whatever they need when they want, so buying something for them is not really easy, so making something that they cannot get, it's a better idea for me.....

Because the trolls are the Leafs fans. I'm serious, most of them have been.

But to Mavv's defence, he just briefly touched upon him working with Leaf fans. This thread goes well beyond anything about the Leafs.

Oh, I didn't meant really "THIS" precise post, but I saw that in other threads, the Leafs are always somewhere in there....  LOL  I just think it's so funny......  gotta love the Trolls..... LOL

The hang-up goes both ways. ;)

That's doesn't surprise me, they have nothing else to talk about really, so might as well.....  I know that also because I work with Leafs Nation....  LOL  All my co-worker are Leafs fan and they all told me that the hockey season was over for them when the Leafs didn't make the playoffs, and now, they all became Sabres fans....  I wonder why  :icon_questionable:

I was excited when Hasek arrived, played a few games to show us he could still be one of the best but now I'm not so sure. Every once in a while I get a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that he's only here to collect a paycheck and extend his career one more year. I doubt he'll be back in nets for us next year.

JL, that's exactly what he did last season with the Detroit Red Wings.  When he joined the Red Wings, his goal was to win the Stanley Cup and he did.  After that, he retired because he didn't have the desire anymore.....

Open two stores in Michigan with his line of clothes......

Then, he gets suspended for life in Czech Rep in the roller blades league and needs money, comes back to America....

Come back with the Red Wings, for hummmmmm  9 games, creates trouble in the Wings organization with Legace and Cujo.....  and then, decide that he cannot play.....  and the Wings said that they are not paying him his salary....

Dom, still needs money, because he's getting sued in Michigan for his two stores that he closed down, and not paying his rent....

He signs with Ottawa, plays about 35 games or so, gets injured and collects his pay check....

Last week, he said on TV that he's not ready to come back, he doesn't feel good enough to help the team in round 2....

Game 3 against Buffalo, down 2-0....  Now, Dom is in perfect shape and he's ready to play......

Don't you think something is wrong with this guy ?????

That's just my opinion, you don't have to agree with me and if you don't, don't rip my head off....

I used this for my mom's b-day, I burnt her a CD with songs from her favorite singer......  Doesn't cost a lot (one CD) and you can download the songs from sites like Bearshare, etc.....  and then, you make her a cover for the jewel box.

I have a question.....  Why is it that every single thread today, we have to talk about the Maple Leafs ??????  They didn't make the playoffs, they are golfing, see them next year and move on......

Gee.....

:icon_duh: :icon_banghead: :icon_questionable: :icon_whoknows: This is a thread for Ottawa in 7 and your giving up hope. :icon_banghead: :icon_banghead: if and when the Sens tie ths series back up i have a whole list of posts accumulated and will be making a huge post with all the peopel who have given up hope. its quite sad to see in all honesty. If we lsoe tonight WTG Sabres well deserved.. if we lose we can change our whole team i will still rep them hard and to the fullest. On a brighter note.. we dropped the defending champs.

 :icon_applause2: D1ggy, I can't wait to read your huge post.....   ;)

This is the time that you realize who are the true fans and the ones who will change whenever the team has a hard time...., sad, sad, sad........ :(

Sens Talk / Re: The OFFICIAL Emery thread [merged]
« on: May 11, 2006, 11:32:32 AM »
I'm still having a hard time understanding why everybody keep blaming Emery......  When you give up 1 or 2 goals, that means that you are playing a good game.....  IMO, the problem is that the whole team in front of Emery is not playing the way they did during the season or during the first round.

Chara hasn't been playing to his ability, like he did against Tampa Bay......  as a matter of fact, all the defense have not played to their ability and potential, come on, I haven't seen so many turn over in this round, in the whole season itself......

Also, Miller has been playing phenomenal, credit due where credit is due.....  but our offense has not been playing the same way either......  how come we were able to score 6 goal in game one and now, having a hard time scoring 1 or 2 goals ?????

Anyways, I did play hockey for several years and I can tell you, most of the time, losses will be blame on the goalie, but this is a team sport, which mean, everybody should be chipping in and not leaving it as 1 player game.....

I have no problem with having Dom in the net, but what we need is some scoring.  If we don't score, the game will go into 17 OT even if Dom has a perfect game....  WE NEED SCORING....

No, that was the last Sens goal on Game 1 round 2 against Buffalo.  You can see Miller laying down on the floor.

Sens Talk / Re: My flag is still flying full mast...
« on: May 11, 2006, 10:27:51 AM »
I'm a Sens fan and I can tell you that yesterday, they didn't deserve to win the game, even if they would have.  I couldn't believe it that after the first period, it wasn't like 7-0 with all the chances that Buffalo missed, with open net and such.

Like JL said, even thought I'm really dissappointed with the team and that I don't think they are playing to their potential, I will never disrespect the team, I'm still wearing my Senators coat today and I will be watching the game tonight hoping that they play better then yesterday and it's not over until it's over.

If you are a real fan, you will be with the team good time and bad time, but if you are going to disrespect them, don't even bother being a fan....

That's my opinion.....
