Sens Talk / Re: Eaves Ok?

Yes it was clean, but Armstrong is known for making hits like this.  He took 5 strides and had him pegged long before he made it behind the net.  It was a legal hit, but it could have been handled differently.

I'm sure Patty will be alright and back before the start of the 2nd round.

Anything But Hockey / What the hell is with this weather??
« on: April 16, 2007, 07:56:22 AM »
I HATE winter and was happy when April rolled around.

But it is now past the halfway mark and it is snowing?  What the hell?   :icon_nono:

Booing has to be the less effective way to throw a player off his game.  Just look at Buffalo where the fans along the glass (Im sure they dragged them from some trailer park) bang on it whenever the opposition is skating by.  It's priceless that they don't realize they are showing their true maturity level when they do that.

Fan 1:  Bang Bang Bang...."hehe, look at me, I am so gud at this. I bet he can't concentrate now" :dash2:
Fan 2:  Bang Bang Bang...."teehee, I am 45 acting like I'm 10...I wish I was 10 again" :franz:

I find it funny that the two fights we have had so far have come from people I never thought would fight.  It's entertaining

Sens Talk / Re: NO tickets outside of Zip Code. WOW, what a gr
« on: April 16, 2007, 07:41:27 AM »
You heard what they said about NO tickets outside of Pittsburgh?  You had to show ID stating you live in their Zip Code, they did NOT want Ottawa fans in there.  How about that? Never heard of it before.  Methinks Eugene should look into dat and get rid of those Blue aresewipes in our house!  :smily698:

That's kind of pathetic I think.  To limit tickets to ONLY your fans is their way of saying, "We don't want other teams cheering and showing us up in our own building".  I hope they realize what an embarrassment this is to playoff hockey.  They don't even have enough faith in their own market to sell out that they resort to banning out-of-zip code ticket sales.  PATHETIC.  Every hockey fan, no matter where they are or what team they cheer for, should be able to purchase a ticket to ANY arena.

Pathetic

Sens Talk / Re: Who wants to talk about class?

I don't know about singing the American anthem.  I am Canadian, not American.  I just can't bring myself to sing another nation's anthem; unless I was getting paid to do it perhaps.  But I will never boo their anthem though.

Sens Talk / Re: Let's give it up for Alfie and Emery
« on: April 16, 2007, 07:33:33 AM »
I have been impressed with the play of Alfie and company for sure.  Emery has been solid, but a couple goals have been questionable.  He needs to tighten it up a tad though.

Explain to me how Phillips gets 2min for Roughing when it was Malkin who JUMPED on him?  And why the hell is Roberts talking to the ref...correction...WHINING to the refs when he does NOT have the "A" on his jersey?  Bunch of whiners the Pens are.  :CROSBY:

Damn straight.  Penguins fans tonight showed they are truly classless.  Booing an anthem that belongs to damn near HALF your team along with the OWNER of your team.  Thanks for showing hockey fans everywhere what tools you are.

General Hockey Discussions / Re: Sundin guarantees a Cup for Leafs
« on: April 15, 2007, 03:29:24 PM »
Hahahaha, what a misguided fool he is.  Ya, the only way the Leafs will win the cup while he is with the team is if he is a GM or they place his ashes in the dressing room when he croaks.

Word has it that it will be Saprykin going in for Schubert.  McGrattan was the columnists pick, but we all know that McGratton can't skate for crap, and we don't need the team being slowed down in Pittsburgh.

I set my alarm for 11 a.m. so I could wake up, shower, relax, and then head to the game around 1 p.m.  Well, it's 8:26 a.m. and I'm wide awake.  I can't wait for the game to start.  I might even get my face painted this time.  :GO SENS2: :Look out Pens:

Sens Underground Announcements / Re: Sens' two man advantage woes

They REALLY need to work on it.  The power play can be VERY integral in winning games in the playoffs.  You don't have to score on all of them, but one or two a game could be crucial; especially in the later rounds.

Sens Talk / Re: Emery vs. Fleury
« on: April 13, 2007, 09:17:20 PM »
We have our own history of not winning Game 2 of a series where we took game one, but Fleury has a history of not winning the game after a game where he was pulled.  Someone is gonna knock their demon tomorrow.

Welcome to the post-seasons boys.  If you don't like being hit, just sit out the next three games, and you can go home and play nerf football with your kids.

The amount of money your owner has means shit in the league now.  You can't buy your way to a cup like so many teams have tried *cough* Rangers *cough*.   :giggles:

Sens Talk / Re: Game 2
« on: April 13, 2007, 09:10:24 PM »
Well I decided to take the day off to collect my thoughts.

I'm still not buying into 'playoff hockey' - I don't buy into the difference in any sport (same game, same teams) the pens just lost the little battles all over the ice.

No, matter that's why it's a 7 game series....  I was wondering though do any of you know where Evgeni Malkin is??

I will say though, that slew foot on Whitney was inexusable, maybe not a gamebreaking call if it was made but still.  That has no business being a part in the game hockey, and if i see 1 more I might just meet some of your boys down at the Sheraton Sunday afternoon.

Lets go Pens

 :Pens:

:A_laughing_matter: Oh my god man, you actually think there is no difference between the regular season and the playoffs?  I don't remember Alfie or Comrie dropping the gloves during the regular season to defend a teammate (not that they couldn't, just they aren't that type of player).  The playoffs is played at probable 50 percent more intensity than the regular season.

Do you mean you will meet some of the Ottawa Senators downtown at the Sheraton?  And just what would say/do to them?  "Oh please Mr. McGrattan ,don't beat me up, I really didn't mean to try and kick you in the junk"?  Sounds like a veiled threat to me.  Might wanna rethink that one bud.

Fact is dude, you are a Pens fan trolling our boards TRYING to say we don't sell out on game days.  Whatever you say is obviously correct in your mind.  But either way, go back to your Pens board and make yourself believe Crosby doesn't whine.
