He wants top 6 minutes and yet he's never played an NHL game. The league he is in is good but it's no NHL. He's unproven. He's getting all this attention because he has a ton of potential and it's pretty much like having an extra prospect in the system. I would go for him, but not as a top 6 forward. Ottawa will not pick him up. Wouldn't surprise me to see him in a Nucks or Leafs Jersey.

I've seen videos of this kid play and he very good. Good hands, got the speed, didn't score many goals, but he has a lot of talent.

What do you guys think about Rolston? He's UFA, can score goals, and would be great on the second line with Fisher. Only problem is he's over 30. I don't know how much he'd want, he's making 2.4mil this year, but I would offer him a 2 year $5mil contract.

Well now that it's officially over, what are some changes you think are gonna be made? Basically talk about anything Senators related until the next season begins.

It's been a tough year for the senators and their fans, hopefully with the changes done in the offseason they come out gunning and stay strong.

He might be in for Spezza afterall.

Scott Morrison of CBC's Satellite Hotstove just mentioned Spezza's leg is "jammed" and he was walking in a limp today. As for the others, Alfredsson is out long term, Fisher is out for at least this series and Kelly might be back if the series goes to 6 or 7.

 :duh

Emery is DONE as a Senator. He knows this and a few others on the team know they're done too.

Spezza is playing Monday, so most likely Robitaille is out.

From TSN: "Spezza didn't take part in Saturday's optional skate at Scotiabank Place after he appeared to pick up a leg injury Friday. He said the injury won't prevent him from playing Monday, when the Senators hope a similarly gutsy effort gets rewarded with a better outcome."

From TSN: "Despite rumours that he'll make an appearance in the series, Alfredsson, who was hurt by a vicious check from Toronto's Mark Bell in the second-to-last game of the regular season, didn't skate yesterday and didn't address the media."

They can't do that.  He'd have to pass by waivers first.  Then they lose him for nothing.

Completely forgot about that.

I say ride out through all the shit. Trading him will just bite us back in the ass in a year or two.

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today recalled centre Alexander Nikulin from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Nikulin, 22, is tied for second in team scoring with 14 goals and 36 assists in 71 games with Binghamton this season. He was recalled once this season on Nov. 22 to make his NHL debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nikulin was held scoreless in two NHL games before being assigned to Binghamton on Nov. 27.

Nikulin was Ottawa’s fourth-round pick, 122nd overall, in the 2004 NHL entry draft. The 6-1, 198-pound centre played his last three season’s with CSKA of the Russian elite league, seeing his best season in 2005-06 when had 21 points (10-11) in 51 games.

Binghamton (34-31-8-5 – 6th, East division) completes their regular season with games tonight in Syracuse and on Sunday in Hershey.

This bothers me, whenever I try to post (usually in the game threads) i have click post a few times because somebody else posted before me and i get a message telling me to make sure i want to post it because there are other comments and i find that really annoying. Anyway to change it so I don't have to click it a few times to get my message posted?

Mezsaros has too much potential to just give away. I would play him in Binghamton for a while next season, but there's no doubt Mezsaros wouldn't like that.

There's blind faith fans, then there's realistic fans.

I am a realistic fan. There's no way they'll win the cup this year. I hope they prove me wrong, but I just don't see it happen.

Won't ever change team. Growing up in Montreal, I could have easily been a habs fan, but I saw first hand what the fans were like and I was like **** it, I don't want to be associated with that". So I stayed Canadian and eastern conference...Ottawa Senators.

There was no way I'd cheer the leafs.
