Missing the playoffs is NOT an option for this team. That would be inexcusable and humiliating.

Listen, we have billionaire + owner who wants Stanley so bad he "guarantees doing EVERYTHING he can" to "make us the hockey mecca of the NHL, year after year" and "he won't sleep until it is...". WTF is this? The hockey hell! High time we call him up on his loose talk! Melnyk can write this bum off with a simple freaking signature.... and EAT the mistake. Send Gerber down, someone claim him for 1/2 the price. BingoBango, we then get RAY a back-up! :smily698:

I'm not sure how it all works but I think the problem with this approach is the salary cap. I don't think there's any way to get rid of this guy and not have it count against the cap, at least partialy, unless they trade him. And right now, who'd want him?

That being said, Mucks and Murray must be pulling their hair out over Gerber. I mean, this is the same guy that stoned Ottawa several times last year and won 38 or so games. Now he's useless. That must be frustrating, to say the least.

As far as Melnyk is concerned, he had his chance last year to put his money where his mouth is but refused to sign Doug Weight before Carolina did simply because of money. So I don't put alot of stock in his bravado.

I don't know anymore. But what we saw last night was a team playing fine until things started to go against them, then they came unravelled. They really seem to have issues right now. Very fragile looking club that can't handle adversity. Let's hope some some action and a road trip will bring them together cuz I'm starting to worry.

One thing about Dean is that there's nothing he can say in 1 minute that he can't stretch out to 10 minutes. Helps fill a 3 hour radio show I guess.

Yeah, Gord and Dean are homers, but they are OUR homers!

I think Dean is one of the best play by play guys going. :GO:

I doubt we'll have Gretzky on anytime soon. But maybe one day.

Gord and Dean are definitely on our radar,as are others. We will slowly grow our stable of guests.:SensLeafs2:.

OK. I have heard a few shows :smily698: and thoroughly enjoyed them, in fact it gives my Thursday mornings a big kickstart.

But what does a funny-accented guy know about hockey???????

Are you talking about Nigel or Shredder? :A_laughing_matter:

What was with that second period? It's like they were a completely different team than the one that played the first. And we can bitch about the 1st line but where is the rest of the scoring? What's with Fisher's line?

Corvo looked good though. :drink:
