Another new rule made a big difference in the EDM-VAN game tonight. With 40 seconds left in the third, Ohlund gets called for delay of Game for shooting the puck in the crowd. EDM pulls the goalie, have a 6 on 4 power play and tie the game.

Ohlund cost me $12!

Ha! The Wild just lost to Phoenix, thus giving me a comeback victory in a head-to-head hockey pool against the guy who drafted Luongo.

I LOVE IT!

Should be the American Airlines Arena you're talking about.

I noticed a lot of teams have changed their goal horns and in-arena celebrations. The Leafs, for example, have added a foghorn that bellows just like the one inside the St. Pete's Time Forum. San Jose have added flashing lights to theirs. With these recent scores of 7-6 and 6-5, the celebrations should be noticed a lot more.  :smily698:

There was two penalty shots in the Minny-Phoenix game.  Daigle missed for the Wild.

First win for Gretz.

What kind of reception did Bertuzzi get in Edmonton?

Well, they booed. Expect that in all 41 away games.

They booed him a lot more than any of the other Canucks. During the shootout, they cheered Jussi's stop on Bertuzzi a lot more than they did for the stop on Naslund.

Is Calgary going to pull an Anaheim? Kipper has been below average and that great defence has been embarassing. Iginla/Langkow/Amonte was supposed to dominate.

Flames not looking too hot without Regehr there. Kiprusoff had to make 36 saves in 2 periods; he was pulled for the start of the third since the game was out of reach by then.

From what I've seen so far, I'm loving the new NHL. There are already 5 or 6 goals that would make the year-end Top Goals list. Pasha had a nice one today.

Pasha? Who's that?

I haven't seen many amazing plays, which have you seen? Laaksonen's pre-season goal was the best so far.

Oh sorry. Pasha = Datsyuk. There was the Kariya snapper that would make my list.

AB, try watching the Flames highlights. Phaneuf absolutely levelled Laaksonen. Too bad the Flames are losing 6-2.

Laaksonen appears to be having a great game. Phaneuf can kiss my ass.

Kipper with 7 GA this game with 10 minutes to go. What happened??

That defense corps looks lost without someone to lead them (ie. Regehr). Kipper hasn't really disappointed thus far in the season, although I haven't seen tonight's highlights.

Canucks win! Sedins own the dead things again (after dan's 4 in the last season).

Auld is the anti-clouts. He mucks up early then gets better instead of dan who starts off well and gets worse as the game goes on.

I'm still waiting for the canucks-oil game to download, but its better than not seeing any games. They have a few sens games there too.
Go Canucks, Go Sens.

 That must be a late feed; the game ended a while back.

Indeed

But I have to use file sharing programs, no NHL on tv here, so i listen to the games on net radio and then download the games and watch them. Least the sens and canucks are on different days for a while.

Ovechkin's carrying an entire team it seems!

I agree with your point re kipper. Carney going down affected jiggy last season and i think kipper's go the same. The flames will be back but look out for minnesota is my prediction.
Go Canucks, Go Sens.

Leave a girl alone. Geez. I don't see why I need to be called out on this all the time.

I think I'm just gonna ignore it from now on. I'll like who I damn well please.

We ALL like you!!
