I will be aquirering NHL 06 when its released.

:( You're not going to rip it off, are you?

BTW: Worst spelling of acquiring ever.

I never said I woudl rip it off... I just stated I would aquire the game once its released...

And yeah.. what the heck are ya gonna do about my bad spelling? I was being distracted at the time and couldn't care to have used spell check. Its not that I don't know how to spell... its just that other keys tend to get in the way lol.

EA NHL 06 is so horrible. I preferred ESPN NHL 2K5 last year. I won't bother buying any NHL games, they're just messed.

I'll stick to Madden 06.

Madden is awesome this year!!! Loving the new QB vision!!! I started my franchise with the Jets, and I"m off to a 7-0 start...realistically I should be 5-2, but I managed to comeback from 14 down versus Tampa, and 17 down versus Atlanta on a Monday Nighter! Love this game!
Friends don't let Friends cheer for the Maple Leafs!!

I found two files to edit the demo, allows you tro change graphic settings and allows you to make rule changes and other game settings so you can play a complete game instead of just the 3rd period.

Link please??

I've heard about these mods but I can't find them online anywhere...

I re-installed NHL 2005 because I was so desperate for some inkling of hockey. My Nashvile Predators are getting their shit handed to them! 6-5-0-1 thus far.

I kept Shane Hnidy, and traded for Rod Brind'Amour and Rhett Warrener.

Kariya-Legwand-Sullivan
Hartnell-Johnston-Walker
Erat-Brind'Amour-Hall
Upshall-Nichol-Tootoo

Timonen-Eaton
Hamhuis-Zidlicky
Hnidy-Warrener

Vokun
Mason

Hordichuk
Robitaille
Allison

I just realized I forgot to pickup Danny Markov!

NHL 2006 ships today! Is it available in Ottawa yet?? I heard it should be available sometime between tonight and friday..

I've been playing the demo and its pretty sweet! A marked improvement over 2005. The players skate and look like their real-life counterparts and they are quite distinguishable from one another - st. louis is lightning fast, richards and lecavalier have great shots, tucker is small but can check well, mccabe has a cannon-shot, renberg and colaiacovo suck...

Can someone please post if they spot it and where they spotted it.

Price isnt too bad either from FS....

  39.99
- 10.00
= 29.99

I dunno if the 10 discount is for pre-release sales only or not?

It's set to arrive on Thursday and be up on most shelves by Friday. Some stores might be able to put them up Thursday, but not very many stores.

I went to EB today in Thunder Bay and they told me tomorrow no earlier than 1pm.

However I called them yesterday and they said it would be out today and its not.

Apparently had trouble getting the games across border.

You know what i Think is funny too, NHL 2006 is going brand new for 39.99, but NHL 2004 is 49.99 and 2003 44.99 at Radio Shackor The Source as its now called in Tbay.

Radioshack is known as The Source CC everywhere. A huge legal battle and they lost lol.

I have seen NHL 2004 and 2005 out for about 15.00.

Hey Jordoe, I was there today also.  They never seem to have their story straight.  Anyways, nice to see another Sens fan in Thunder Bay, its mostly Leaf Nation around here.
Surrounded by Leafs fans up here in Northern Ontario!

I've had NHL2006 for PS2 for the whole day now.  Game is OK, gameplay is much better, you can set some pretty plays.

Man, are they ever lazy with the franchise mode.  They didn't change a damn thing, that's ridiculous.  They need to bring this up to par with Madden and FAST, i'm getting real aggravated with the baby steps they take with this stupid game.  I have a good mind to take it back.  It's good, but once again, EA dropped the ball.  Lazy idiots.
Flyers trade Ron Hextall,Peter Forsberg,Steve Duchesne,Kerry Huffman, Mike Ricci,Chris Simon,1st round selection(Jocelyn Thibault) in 1993,1st round selection(Traded to Tor),later traded to the Caps(Nolan Baumgartner) and cash for Eric Lindros

Can you go into more detail with the Dynasty Mode?

The NHL franchise is made by EA Sports Canada, meanwhile Madden, is made by the EA Sports in the US.

That could be a reason as to why.

However I heard they brought back an all new Create A Player this year, cuz NHL 05 really sucked without that option.
