Cloutier --- get out of town please!

(1/3) > >>

hockeygodjoe:
I have said it many times before!  Cloutier is not a #1 goalie.  I know he has good stats or whatever.  But he is not clutch!  He just choked last night!

He makes a great save in game 6 when the team was down 5-1!  Big deal!  Where is that in the clutch?  It was like watching Tugnutt last night!  Three of the four goals had to be stopped!  They played well enough to win last night.  But Cloutier blew it!!!

Stats don't matter.  I don't care if you makes big saves to preserve a 10-0 shutout!  On the other hand, if you are clutch and makes big stops in a 6-5 game, then you are doing a good job!

You can teach skills, but you can't teach gut!  Cloutier is not, and never will be, a #1 goalie because he doesn't have what it takes to gut it out.

You can not lay all the blame on gloutier yes he did let in some soft goals. But the whole team did not play well the deffence was just awful the forwards aslo hade a bad series you need to score to win and they scored very little.

bigtree:
That bad penalty by Bertuzzi certainly didn't help matters either.

I'd say the fault lays on both Cloutier's and Bertuzzi's shoulders. But you know what? You win as a team. You lose as a team.

Dagwood:
I think the whole team was just exhausted. As hard as they tried yesterday to keep that 2-0 lead, the speed of the Wild took over in the third, and yes Clouthier over committed on that 3rd goal and should have had the 4th goal, then again, a little bit of back checking support from the forwards may have helped avoid them all together.

Oh well, no all Canadian final this year.  But at least the team that remains still has a very good shot at it.

Sarge:
well, Cloutier did look rather soft after the 1st period....behind every champion is a goalie deserving of the title....I don't think you'll ever see a Stanley Cup Champion with a mediocre goalie between the posts....I said this before, Cloutier does not have what it takes to be a champion...does Lalime have what it takes?...I don't know....

that penalty on Bertuzzi was kind of cheap relative to all the other stuff that was allowed...hey, I don't doubt it was a penalty, but it wasn't consistent with the rest of the game...I hate that - when a ref just makes a seemingly random call and it affects the game like that....but was it going to be called right away?....I don't think the ref had his arm up right after it happened....or did the Roloson "injury" provoke the call?....
