Looks like Quinn is out.
« on: April 20, 2006, 11:29:14 AM »
640 Toronto is reporting that Pat Quinn and Rick Ley have been released.

Damn and I had Marc Crawford as the next to go in my pool.

I heard rumours of a potential swap, quinn to van, crawford to TO. Plausible i'd think, though the leafs may just promote maurice right?

TSN is now reporting that Quinn is gone.

Bad chemistry to begin with having a coach that was GM and powerful for that long taking a back seat to a new guy.

Not a huge surprise....never thought he and JFJ had 'chemistry'.

Think Quinn will go to LA?

Will be interesting if Paul Maurice is elevated (as I suspect he will be) to the Leafs.

With MR. PotatoHead gone and the certain buyout of the Unibrow, it only leaves Tucker on my list of top three arseholes in the NHL who are on the Leafs.

If I never have to see that fathead Quinn jawing off about the dirty Sens again I will die a happy man.

If you are not the guy the current management hired, you have a target on you.

Somebody was going to get it for their failure this year.  Ferguson was Peddie's guy so he's not going to let him go so soon after the embarrassment of firing Mike Babcock.

I would be nearly certain that Paul Maurice will be the new coach.

If he goes to the Kings, we dont have to see him for the next 2 years! I think thats the only good thing to comeout of the crappy schedule.

The Leafs are one step closer to being a slightly more respectable team. Next is Domi...

Any team with Darcy Tucker on it can't be considered "respectable" IMHO.

I don't think there's much chance of a Tucker buyout.

It's true. He's their best player. Though maybe the new Toronto coach won't put up with the same sh*t Quinn sent Tucker out to do.

He might not be their 'best player' when another coach gets in there and reworks that team.

If Quinn ends up in LA, my money is on Tucker, somehow, joining him out there.  Those two deserve each other!

Team Canada failed to place, Leafs failed to place. Anyone see the pattern developing here?? :icon_whoknows:
