NHL referees and accountability

(1/1)

Senturion:
I'm thinking that hell yeah, let the media eat the zebras just like they feast on the players and coaches after every game!

I would LOVE to see Michael Landsberg have 4 of them on OTR, oh yeah, what a show that would be!

bigtree:
You don't want to scare the refs out of making any calls whatsoever.

Senturion:
Christ, after that fiasco at the end of the 1st period tonight, I think that yeah, refs should DEFINITELY be held accountable!
Why do the Sens have to serve TWO penalties because the refs failed to inform them of the 1st penalty to Chara?
I mean, has anyone seen that before?

Bonzai:
Nope never seen that before and you are right.  The reason a penalty was called is because Burns is the one who noticed it and brought it to their attention.  They couldn't admit to Burns they pulled a giant boner thus a penalty.  It would have been even more interesting had Chara scored or assisted on a goal prior to them correcting their mistakes.

In the NFL they hold the officials accountable and admit their gaffs.  It's time the NHL started to do this too.

Cheers
