Seems like a lot. Not that he doesn't deserve it, because he really is a defencemen. By definition, he should be considered for Norris trophy. He may not score like a Lidstrom or Neidermeyer, but he plays his position well.
If he is getting that much, Phillips is likely to get at least $1 million more per year. And with all the others left to resign, it's unlikely Ottawa will have much cap room left. And unofrtunately Comrie looks like he will be gone now. If it were up to me I'd sell Gerber and Schaefer to save Comrie.
Preissing is probably gone too, as a result.
