Martin Havlat Injury Poll
« on: December 13, 2007, 10:53:24 PM »
I love Martin Havlat and the Talent the guy brings to the rink..but

Year after year we Sens Fans have seen him come out on Fire, go down to Injury, comeback again and light it up, then go down again...usually done for the season.  So I should actually start a pool, but instead I have created this poll.

I say after Christmas....Mid January.

Humour me

Healthy for the playoffs...

Will the hawks make it to the playoffs is a different question.

too funny. I agree with Dag, every year I would say "This guy is going to score 50 goals". So frustrating.
There's a bounty on anyone named Murray in Binghamton as of NHL trading deadline day.

Havlat will never play 50 games in a season.

Unreal.  That's where the big contract comes in handy.

Unreal.  That's where the big contract comes in handy.

Many teams are breathing a sigh of relief thanking they didn't bite into any possible deals getting this guy as Chicago did want to deal him.

The problem for Marty is his shoulder.  It's been so badly damaged and rebuilt...it doesn't take much to injure it again.

it's tough to go into the corners knowing you might come out without an arm attached.

Havlat played a lot of games this year though his production has fallen off.

Although I did hear recently...on Sportscentre or That's Hockey or something like that....that the 'Hawks are looking to re-sign him "with his continued health this season".

It's a contract year. Just wait until he has that big fat contract nicely secured, he'll be injured half the season again...  :laugh2:

I was just talking about Marty this morning to another hockey fan. It's been a decent year for Havlat...but ya..I'd like to see what happens once the ol contract is renewed.

Just when I thought the guy was having an outstanding year.....

He gets caught with his head down and is KO'd big time by Kronwall in the western Finals.
God dam I love the guy but his career is getting shorter and shorter with each injury.

Sort of adds a bit more perspective to the comments players and agents make when going after the big $$$ doesn't it?

Glad to see he was back in for game 4.
