Pierre Lebrun on CBC HNIC satellite hotstove just said Hartsburg is the frontrunner coming to coach Ottawa.

And Garrioch said in today's Sun that Pat Burns is the front runner.

Hartsburg would be a mistake, IMHO.

hmmm. I like the sounds of a coach who could only get a team out of the second round once in 4 seasons with that much talent...pass. I've been saying for a while that the sharks are the sens of the west and this season on san jose proved my point again

I really respect Ron Wilson for what he's done in the regular season but his post-season record reminds me of Jacque Martin.  I'm not sure getting Ron Wilson would be a step forward.

I think Craig Hartsburg is a good coach and wouldn't be a bad choice.  I think Quenneville is also a good coach; and I seem to recall his name getting bounced around here when Martin was shown the door.

Ron Wilson, not so much.  His run with San Jose looks a lot like the Senators in a lot of years:  talented rosters that couldn't get it done in the playoffs.

My first choice remains the Burns.

no thanks on wilson. he hates canadian media so i don't think a canadian city would be his top choice...i still would like tortorella or burns.

Are you kidding?  IMO Tortorella might actually get some accountability out of Spezza.  I think that would be a great choice as a coach.  It would certainly give the media lots to talk about on a regular basis LMAO\
