I think there are a lot of hockey fans from Toronto and around Lake Ontario that go to Sabres games too even if they are not Sabres fans.  That's why they sign both national anthems even if a Canadian team isn't playing.

Season tickets were bought last season when they were doing well...   8)
Can't speak much about the playoffs.

To be honest, I think the Sabres success depends on the Bills lack of success...

As for the Marlies, it's pretty pathetic... Leaf fans keep trying to argue with me that its a hockey town ... and I agree with you 110%.

This is a good point, and true IMO.   It would be interesting to see how it goes if both teams did well at the same time.   :ridiculous:   Oh wait, the chances of them both sucking is more like it.  (I know, I don't sound like a big Bills fan do I?  Since the Sabres suck this season, the Bills must be due. I smell Super Bowl....)

Best part of the game? Whenever there was a tight shot of the fans after a goal by Pitts or camera on a Pitts player; fans are giving the middle finger salute to 'em and screaming F bombs like mad. I just LOVE passionate fans like that!  :thumbsup: 

Second best part of the game? Bob Cole, in his infinite wisdom and masterful commentary saying: "Now that got the crowd going! Let'ssssss lissen in...." Volume gets louder...

Crowd: "CROSBY SUCKS!!!! CROSBY SUCKS!!! CROSBY SUCKS!!!"

Third best part of the game?

Anyone have a clip of that gorgeous blonde in white, with the ridiculous profile, sitting down by the glass?  :shock: :shock: The cameraman went back to her but some fat Philly fan was stuffing his face, got in the way of the shot, so the cameraman zoomed out.  :laugh2:

Tonight was awesome. Finally, the only team I'm still cheering for won a f-ing game! They won despite having 2 of their top d'men out once again on top of it! If Coburn can come back to play next game in Pitts and they manage a win there, anything can happen(although it's highly unlikely).

Weird year.  5 of 14 series (35.7%) series have gone 3-0.   Love to see one comeback out of this lackluster playoffs and the Flyers have the grit if anyone does.   

nhl.com says there is an outside chance Timmonen could play on Sunday, as well as Coburn.  Timmo in the lineup would be a massive boost.

OS, Mendez predicted The Pens wouldn't even make the playoffs  :icon_fryingpan:   :2-oops:  :icon_rofl, and for that, Ian should never be regarded as having hockey brains of any kind, period, but don't get your hopes up. A team with Sid, Malkin and Stall (freaking phenoms) et company won't be losing a 3-0 series. There are some special players with Pitts you don't see on one team like that anymore, and it won't last with salary cap.  Believe me, I'd do anything in my power to make The Flyers win!

I agree, especially watching Sidney "I'm trying to sneak into an R rated movie so I'm growing a beard" Crosby give Smith a punch in the back of the head only to see Smith turn around and laugh in his face.
