Who to cheer for in the "P" series ?
Always had a hate on for the Filthy Flyers  . . .can't stand Sid the Whiner.
I like Biron, and Umberger . . .And Malone, and Malkin.

I'll ask my son who he's cheering for . . .that'll be my team.

I personally hope that Philly destroys the Pens for losing that last game of the season on purpose so that they could avoid Philly so they could meet Ottawa.
Time passes, things change, the Sens WILL WIN the CUP.
edit -  Hopefully within my lifetime.......

I just have too much dislike in my blood to ever cheer for Philly.  Like Butterfly Style, my son is cheering for the Penguins, so now I am too.  The only guy I still enjoy seeing getting hit on the Penguins is Gary Roberts,...
and sometimes Malkin.

Yeah...this is a tough one to pick who to cheer for.  Maybe I will just consider the Double D series as my 'final' series!!  The Double P series features too many people who I don't want to see win the Cup!!

But since one of the PA-teams will play through....I guess I will cheer on Biron to stop the Penguins from getting any cockier than they already are!

GO  *hold nose* FLYERS *hold nose* GO!!!!

Pittsburgh

I cannot possibly cheer for the Flyers until Bobby Clark is no longer wandering this side of the turf and Steve Downie is no longer playing hockey.

Imagine the chagrin of some Leafs fans - Hal Gill in the ECF!  That alone may be worth a cheer or two.

Yeah...the "Booby" Clarke factor bothers me as well!  I try not to think about him while watching the games.  And it would kill me if Downie got a ring in his first season (although I am hoping against hope that the West will annihilate the Eastern finalist in any case).

I notice that I chuckle a bit every time Gill does just about anything in these playoffs.  To see him on the PK for Pittsubugh often makes me laugh audibly (not because I think he is doing a bad job....but because HE'S HAL GILL and the Leafs let him go!  ;)).

Hubby is a Flyer fan -  from back in the time of the Old Broadstreet Bully days - so in fairness to the poor guy who buys me seasons tickets every year for a team that plays like girls some nights (his words, not mine) I have landed on the Flyer bandwagon.  Surprisingly it isn't painful at all.  Downie rarely sees the ice and Clarke is deeply hidden in the shadows.

Biron..

Richards..

Upshall..

All can play on my team anyday!!!!

But in all honesty.......I remember the hoopla here in Ottawa this time last year and being in the thick of it.  *sigh*

I dispair that we may have seen our one fleeting glimps of hockey's best season.  I think the rest of the conference has caught up with Ottawa and that we are in for some really lean years record-wise for the forseeable future.

I usually have 3 rules when it comes to who to cheer for once the Sens are out:

3. Don't cheer for Toronto. This is due to the more than obnoxious fan base.

2. Don't cheer for the team that eliminated the Sens. Some people are able to, but for me, that's inconceivable.

1. NEVER, EVER CHEER FOR THE MONTREAL CANADIENS.

I can't stand the Pitts' phenoms. Not denying their immensely gifted talents, it's the way they often play, act and their personality/attitudes that bugs the crap outta me. They are like spoiled brats. That is reason enough, pour moi, to hope Philly kicks the snot and hope out of them and ain't it a damn shame Hossa's playoffs *coming out party* had to start with them? Makes sense, if you can't score playoff goals with Sid, Malkin, Staal, etc... you can't score, period. Damn, that is one hell of a talented team, more so than we ever were and Fleury's being decent enough in goal. I hope Philly brings them back to earth!  :woohoo

That sums up the series for me too!  Although, I can't help feeling a little good for Hossa right now.  Never wished him ill overall when he left town.  Kind of nice to see him finally "get it" in the playoffs...even though I hope that ultimately the Pens lose.

Also, you KNOW Sid/Malkin will win Stanley Cups in their careers. They are that good. YEah, too bad Hossa couldn't win it with us, I wish him no ill will but no Cup with them either!  :suspicious

I agree with that sentiment also.  I just can't wait to see Crosby and Malking get SMASHED and then whine to the ref when they don't call a penalty.

Torn on this one.....It should be  a decent series, Not sure who I want too see win, although Philly and Det or even Dallas would be a good SCF!

My teams are Philly -> Detroit -> Dallas...

At least those teams don't have a bunch of serial divers, whiners (well thats pushing it) and injury fakers *cough Rutuu*... is it bad if I hope that Rutuu stomps on himself?
