I could care less if it comes back to the Eastern Conference....especially to a team that knocked mine out of the SC playoffs.  But that could just be me. :smily677: 

I have been pulling for Dallas because I like Turco.....and he played like a beast in his last game.  I am really, really hoping they can take Detroit in seven games.  But, if they don't....GO DETROIT GO!!!!!

I will go on record as probably the only poster on here who is cheering for the Penguins all the way - have been since round two.  I really like that team - especially if Detroit wins.  I want the Cup back in the Eastern Conference and I am not bummed that the Pens beat the Sens.  The Sens didn't stand a chance since Christmas so it was just a matter of who would knock them out early.

Ummmm.....I think classmate has also been cheering on the Pens since the second round, but I could be wrong.

And I agree with you that the Sens were pretty much out of contention since the new year...but old habits die hard and I have never been able to cheer for a team that knocked mine out "officially".  It's just the way it is for me.  As far as the Eastern Conference....few of my "second favourite" teams are in the East, so I seldom end up cheering for any Eastern team beyond the Sens.

Either way.....it's far  more relaxing watching the SC games once my team is out of contention.   :nod: :buddies:

Yes and I agree, it is far more relaxing watching the games when "my team" isn't playing.
And Rose, I don't usually cheer for the team that beat my team, but I can't help but cheer for the young'uns. I know that's why alot of people aren't cheering for them.     :smily677:   Oh well.

I don't care that the Pens beat out Ottawa.  I just can't stand the diving and how it is actually working.  I can't stand their fans that don't even know who wore number 66 or for the love of god even 68 or the ones who tell me that they like the Pens because they are hotttt (much bigger percentage than any team out there).  I can't stand that people can't see how dirty Malkin can be.  I can't stand people who think Crosby is the best leader in the NHL.  I can't stand people who can't acknowledge when the "Next Next One" has a bad game, but instead its because the refs suck and the other team is dirty.

I don't like their style, I don't like many of their players (Rutuu especially), and I don't like half their fans (the bandwagoners).

On the Rutuu note, I can't stand how he gets away with not only diving, but faking injuries, dirty plays and that smug face of his.  I can't wait until someone takes him out cleanly ... or until he stomps on himself  ;).

GO WINGS/STARS!

Oh, and I can't stand playoffs with nothing remotely exciting happening in it.  Forgetting about the 3-4 good series' in the first round, its been all but memorable since then...

So it's the Wings-Pens.  Now we will see how the Pens handle a real contender.  With all due respect to our disfunctional Senators, Rangers, and overachieving Flyers, this is the first real contender that they will tangle with.   Should be interesting.
