In 1998/99 the NHL was calling every foot/toe/shoelace in the crease.
Except for the game-winner in the 3rd-OT of game 6, when Brett Hull's foot was clearly in the crease.
Dallas beat Hasek and the Sabres on a very contraversial goal.

I remember it well.

On the topic of Dallas and Hasek....think Hasek will get the call at all in this series?

Go Detroit.

Seems like I am cheering for the opposite of everyone on this site.   :???   Guess I didn't get the memo.   :DANNCER:

I find that once my team is out of contention, I have a tendency to cheer for: a) the underdog (and Dallas is definitely the underdog in the western final) and/or b) a team that I really like a player on (and I have always liked Turco....but if Yzerman was still with Detroit, for example, I would be cheering on the Wings).

It's not in any memo that I know of....just the way I stay 'involved' while watching! ;)

I usually cheer for the underdog too, but I do like Chelios, so Detroit it is. However, if Dallas goes to the SCF against the Flyers, Dallas all the way.

GO DETROIT!!!!

This will be a GREAT series, filled with big hits, goals, grit and maybe a fight or two. The Stars need to keep their heads up with Kronwall on the ice, or they will be seeing stars.........that kid can hit.   :ccclapping:

Dallas - for no particular reason.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.

Dallas....Main reason I don't want too see Dom Hasek ever touch the Cup again, the Man Might be a great Goalie, but as far as I'm concerned he has NO respect for the Game or the team he plays for, He is all about himself.....I hope Osgood gets all the starts and Hasek rides the pine for the rest of the run...

Hmm.. looks like Rutuu..

Speaking of Ruutu. Anyone see his little tirade with Jagr during a faceoff on Sunday? Ruutu running his mouth trying to aggravate Jagr, Jagr making kissing gestures with his mouth, Ruutu losing his cool at that.  :laugh2:

A beauty.  I want Jagr on the Sens next year to centre Alfie.  Make it so Eugene, get Jaromire down to Barbados, catch some ponies run, get him signed up.

For the series, I think Turco is going to outplay either Hasek or Osgood and will take the series.   I became a fan of this years team when watching them play the Ducks.   The Ducks pulled their dirty crud and the Stars just brushed it off and got down to business - like water off a ducks back so to speak.  Very impressive.
