McGrattan article

Good read, I enjoyed it.

"...one season as captain of the Mississauga Ice Dogs, and while not a proficient scorer, he says, brightly: "I did score 20 goals two seasons in a row. I know I can score. I know I could score if I was playing more."

I know he could score more than Randy Robataille, who gave us a whopping 10 goals while playing on the top line for much of the 68 games he played this year.

I am hoping our new coach has a pair of balls so we can see what McGrattan can do.
He could drink like hell, he could fight like hell.

Can you imagine McGrattan a police office?  Can you imagine the surprised people he stops for traffic violations?

I can hardly wait for the team to start signing players.  It should be an interesting summer.

I'll be surprised if he's back. I think Bass will stay and it will be up to him or Neil to take care of the rough stuff. Some teams have had success letting their muscle play. Look at Laraque in Pittsburgh. I just don't know that Grats has enough skill. You don't see him enough to get a real opinion of him.

I personally think mcgrattan is a better skater then laraque. Laraque is just stronger on his feet then mcgrattan.

I feel bad for Grats.  I hope the next coach gives him a legitimate chance for him to prove what he can do beyond his fists.

Maybe he should resign himself to the AHL level like Hamel had to.  There is no way Gratts is a better player then Hamel is, except with his fists.

Well he's definitely a better player than Robataille!  :smily677:

I know your angle, classmate! You just want him back in Bingo because you want to watch him every night so badly.

Not this season, that's for sure.
There are good coaches and there are bad coaches, the real question is "Do you want this person to be a role model to your kids for the next 6 months".  That's the question you have to ask yourself.

Absolutely love this guy, if the sens are stupid enough not to sign him then someone in the NHL will.

Realtiy is, we need someone who can score goals besides Hamel.
