These are the top prospects in our system(besides guys like obrien and karlsson etc).

If elliott can have a very solid season and be one of the top AHL goalies, all the better for us, and himself. He needs to have a season like the old pruseks and hurmes and emery's impressed with before they made the jump.

Zubov and nikulin can be explained as 1. They both now have a North american pro season under their belt. They both posted decent rookie numbers(nikulin who is 1 year older, posted the better numbers). Now if they can both have a breakout season and maybe make the jump from career european/ahler to perhaps dastyuk,/zetterberg/alfredsson type is up to them. I'm looking for them to be close to a point a game(70-80 points). If not, it is a dissapointment which means they cant adjust to be offensive players in the north american game.

If those three players can make really good strides, we should be in very good shape this year, and for the big sens in the years to come as well.

Nikulin and Zubov are not going to amount to anything for us. Both of them will probably bolt to Russia.

I have had a feeling all summer long that if Nikulin dioesn't make the Big team he will go back to Russia.  Zubov, I think might just stay.     Just a hunch though.  Hope I am wrong, but if Nikulin does come down, I hope he realizes he has to play his arse off and not be so soft like last season.

Personally when i saw nikulin in training camp and preseason last year, i thought he should have maybe been kept around. He is better at stickhandling in tight then 95% of the sens team. He also can make plays and go with the flow. I wasn't as impressed with zubov last year.

I just hope nikulin and zubov trained real hard this summer and improved alot to either dominate the A or come in the nhl and produce and be like a plekanec or kostistyn bro's.

Here's a scenario...if zubov and nikulin come into camp and light it up like they're the next sedin's, what do we do? We'd have like 16-17 forwards.

We have too many grinders! you cant win when 90 percent of your forwards have trouble getting 8 goals and 20 points and don't really provide toughness either.
