Just heard on the Team.....the Wild are in town today and there was a cube van at SBP filled with all their gear which caught on fire. They just reported that the Ottawa Fire Department was called to put it out and they report that the contents are pretty much destroyed. Sticks, equipment bags, trainers' gear, etc. GONE!!

Ok, that sucks big time. When do we play the Wild? I'm guessing they are going to have to charter a plane to fly their gear here before the game? Going to be a huge loss. I hope they were insured.

First you try to poison other teams and now you set thier equipment on fire??

That really is a drag for the Wild. Some players (especially goalies) are mighty attached to their gear. Hopefully they can get some flown in on time. I'm sure the Sens will help them out best they can.

Best line I heard about the fire to the Wild equipment was by Jason York yesterday on the Healthy Scratches when the reported it for the first time, "Man! that sounds like the worst Pro-Line commercial ever!"

I just read that Mike Brodeur will be starting in goal tonight.

Yes I am both excited for him and scared to death for the team. I am afraid he will have too much rust on him but here's to hoping I am wrong.

I wondered if he would or not. Good for him! Maybe the 'deciding' factor for him getting the start was the potential equipment issues the Wild might be having.

Either way, I'll be cheering him on. Poor kid......he must be fighting the butterflies BIG TIME right about now!!!

Maybe the TV crew will show a close up of Brodeur when music is playing in house during a stop in play. When Mike is playing well, he will skate back and forth singing along with the music.
