Only saw the last 3 minutes of the 3rd plus OT and the shootout. It was perfectly timed during the second intermission of the Canada game. A great way to bring in the New Year.

We were out for New Year's Eve celebrations downtown and we watched the Sens/Islanders game afterwards on the recording.....GREAT way to end up excellent new year's eve celebrations!!!   :ccclapping:  Not the best game I've ever watched but always great to win in a shoot-out!  Young Mr. Tavares did not have the 'same' result that he had a year earlier when Canada downed the USA in the same building during the WJC here in Ottawa.

Saw the shoot-put.  Not a fine display of goaltending!  I don't recall the Sens first three shooters scoring before.
