Off the Caps beat reporter's blog on Tuesday:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitalsinsider/ovechkin-among-those-not-at-pr.html

So your two biggest stars, including the Captain don't show up for an 'optional' practice.  Yes, it was optional, but you're season is on the line.  I wonder how many Habs missed their practices over the past few days.

Maybe it makes sense for Semin not to be there.  They were pretty much playing without him anyways.

Yup, because THAT'S what I said.  :shake:

No not on this post but admit it, you believe Bettmen is out to get certain teams and so are the refs.  At least when the Sens are playing anyway.   :smily677:
I was just throwing that in before you could.

I do believe Bettman is out for certain teams because he keeps pushing hockey in markets where it's CLEAR they can't survive while denying markets where they could.  As for the refs and Bettman out to get Ottawa, I don't REALLY believe they have the power as to even suggests it (I mean Bettman suggesting it to say a ref) would spell the end of his career and the refs. :)

Only when someone makes me laugh like you do... :A_laughing_matter:

yeah, I have been fortunate to watch the team grow from the civic center days...  I have quite the memorabilia collection. I just found my 2000 Corel center gold coin they handed out to us .....The night I went to the washroom in the Air Canada Club, looked upinto the mirror when washing my hands and saw Bobby Orr standing next to me...  speachless, like a 3 year old. Got my ticket stub from when steve duschene(sp) scored... and we went into the playoffs for the first time. I still remember running out of there in disbelief that we were going to have playoff hockey in Ottawa...

Typical Habs fan my ass.

Man, I sure hope you typed this before I sent you a PM apology. :)

I thought the waved off goal was the right call myself.

Problem is, it only gets called a very small ercentage of the time. There needs to be FAR more consistant calling or not calling of this rule.
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

That is a nice thing to do.  It's great that he did that despite the sting of the loss but I guess if I was a player driving home and I saw fans wearing my team's jersey (not saying that's ONLY why he stopped) I certainly would stop too.
