Looks like Halak is in the zone again.  He's playing like a vazina.

Habs are leading 1 - 0 after 20.

What happened on the Washington goal that got called back?  I saw Ovechkin score but didn't see the replay.

Just so I've got it straight- Bettman wants the Habs to win right?

Halak denying the chance.  Shots 35-14 with 6 minutes left.

It's going to be Theodore.  He's like 20-0-3 in his last 23, plus Varlamov has been inconsistent/injured alot this season.  If there's a team that can upset the Caps in the first round, its certainly the Habs.  They have the goaltending, and speedy forwards that certainly could take advantage of the Caps weaknesses on Defense and their propensity to play a high octane, high risk run and gun game.

Delighted for the Habs, but disappointed that it makes Pittsburgh's route to the SCF look a little easier.

Pittsburgh would have made Washington its bitch had they played each other.  Given how things have transpired, anyone of the remaining teams in the east pose more of a challenge to the Pens going to their 3rd consecutive final than the Caps.

I'm glad the Habs won.  Although I've always been amazed with Ovie's talent as a hockey player I don't think very highly of him as a person.  Halak sure didn't look like he was shaking last night.

Caps got robbed on that no-goal and the Habs got lucky with the win.  A PP goal, no surprise there followed by a crapload of blocked (not all intentional) shots.  Had no shots been blocked he would have faced upwards of 70+ shots. :)

Doesn't matter though, they aren't getting past the Pens.  So sing that stupid Ole Ole Ole song all ya want, it's gonna be short lived.

What a game! Round 2 here we come, bring on the Pens! With Halak on fire anything is possible. Especially with the D playing as well as they are and blocking shots. 41 last night.

Coming back from 3-1 against the president cup winners deserves a tip of the hat. Talk about finding a way to win...

As far as OV, I have always thought of him as being a selfish a hole. In fact I tend to not like a majority of russian players, who play when they feel like it, and leave you scratching your heads. If I was a GM, I would tread very lightly with the russians. I wonder if OV regrets calling halak out "Shaky hands, etc"..

Well, here is an upset for the ages, GO HABS!!!!!!

I dont predict a walk over by the pens.... at all. Jeebus the sens even hung in there... until they choked away a 3 goal lead.

Good to know you are another #@&$@## Habs fan.  Have fun continuously referring to all those cups you won when there was only 6 teams with a stacked team prior to the draft.

Since you do sing that Ole Ole Ole song I guess you don't know it actually has WORDS in it?  Do you also bow to the current goalie forgetting the other FIVE players on the ice?  Are you also one of those francos who bitch and moan about the lack of French players ont the team but at the same time bow to the non-French goalie?  rofl, have fun with that.

According to the rule book?  Convenient.  What about the other similar plays that went uncalled?  Call one, call them all.  And he BARELY touched him, and regardless of touching him or not, the puck was going in.

You make it sound like there is something wrong with someone if they support the Habs.
