History Will Be Made - Matt Carkner

What if Matt Carkner has given up on making the NHL?

This peticular one wasn't made by the NHL, but I think the 'History Will Be Made' commercials are their best ad campaign ever. They even have people making videos themselves.

I know you'll all like this too: What if Matt Cooke believed in karma?

I love the premise and it was very well done, but playing it on the jumbotron at SBP while the game was still on, proved to be the worst karma of all.  Pittsburgh scored soon after and went on to win the game.

They actually showed this at SBP???? Did they not learn their lesson two years ago with that mural in the hall outside the dressing room? :duh

I don't know which one they showed but either of them would have been really stupid.  They sure do some questionable things sometimes.

Yep they showed it!  The score was either 3-0 or 3-1 I cant be sure.  But I knew when I saw it, it was bad.....

Nooooooo.........  Do they never learn.   Same crew that snuffs out a crowd cheering a great 5 on 3 PK (different game) with a "Sweet Caroline" sing along.

FYI...heard at the beginning of the round that the mural had been painted over so the Pens would not have to look at it this time around. :nod:

I heard from my daughter who was at the game Saturday that they played it on the jumbotron...for some reason, I did not ask "when?" (too depressed/demoralized, I guess  :smily677:).  I am guessing they will have to hire crews who are, a) superstitious and, b) have an actual ability to 'read' a crowd with music selections.  Time to clean up the AV crew in the off-season!!! :smily1263:

They didn't show the one on YouTube. They actually made their own cleaned up version.
