Lakers win championship AGAIN
« on: June 18, 2010, 09:50:08 AM »
Lakers won the NBA championship again. And Kobe wins the MVP again. I watched the game. It wasn't that exciting but Gasol was playing very well. Kobe always had like 2-3 guys guarding him, thats why couldn't play so well. Celtics were pretty close. At one point they were winning by 10. Then they lost their lead

I was pulling for the Celtics but I didn't really care much in any case.

First time, however, in a postgame interview that I ever heard a player (Bryant) thank his psychiatrist!

:icon_agree:   I was cheering for the Celtics but not a biggie.

Celtics or Lakers, no real heartbreak stories there.  Not like the Golden State Warriors being denied!

I was impressed with Kobie Bryant.  He was the difference in the Pheonix series and when the rest of the Lakers had packed it in during some of the Celtic games he kept grinding it out.  I gained a lot of respect for him.

^^I agree and Kobe Bryant is very impressive and an amazing ball player.  He just got such a BIG HUGE head in the past few years and he can be very off-putting.  But, yeah, he is extremely talented.

YES!!! I hate the Celtics so this championship felt sweeter than last year. All of coach Phillip's championships came in clusters of three. So if he decides to coach one more year hopefully the Lakers make it their second threepeat in 12 years and his 4th threepeat in 20 years.

Wasn't this Kobie's 5th title?  One more to be like Mike.

:oops  Okay...that makes more 'sense' now (based on his history, etc.) and it was a radio soundbite I heard (could not see the speaker).  However, either way, have never heard an athlete ever thank a psychiatrist before.
