OUCH!!   :A_laughing_matter:
Down Goes Brown...
Craig Anderson - Is currently 2,100 goals away from breaking the all-time record for goals allowed in a career, so given how the Senators' season is going so far let's just go ahead and pencil him in for next Friday.

Robin Lehner's record this season is 7-16-1.... so when do you want him back????

Kinda look's like Ottawa still has that old pesky "goalie problem" don't it.

He won you a Calder Cup, so he deserves a break. ;)

Well first of all, he wasn't the one who got us to the playoffs. (Can you say BARRRRRYYYYY)  Second, I think there were other players on the team and while Lehner played well, it was the D-Men in front of him who made a lot of the difference.

Just saying, Lehner has a long way to go.

As the playoffs went on, I agree. However Lehner is the reason the Sens got out of the first round.

And I also agree about him still needing a lot of seasoning. I can't believe those (here and on other boards) wanting Auld in the minors and Lehner brought up.

Anderson out with a hand injury, don't know how long.

Looks like they may have to call Lehner up.

When I first heard about this early this afternoon, my instinct told me to get on here and post!!  Couldn't.  In the meantime, I've been busy fielding texts and emails from my kids, my husband in his ski trip in Quebec City, my Mother, etc., etc.  Certainly has gotten a 'rise' out of my loved ones!

Close to 6 p.m. I heard that Lehner had left Binghamton earlier in the afternoon to join the team in plenty of time before practice tomorrow.  Also heard that Anderson was making himself a "late" postgame meal and was using a "very sharp" knife to "cut through frozen chicken" when the knife slipped and "cut into his hand".  It's his right hand (his blocker side).

(And it is now Friday morning and this ^^ is now all old news.....someone dropped in last night as I was posting this and I've only just now sat back down at my computer! :duh )

Lehner recalled to Ottawa.

With the Senators playing Boston Saturday night and then playing the Islanders at 17:00 Sunday, I wouldn't be surprised if Lehner gets the start Sunday (especially if Auld doesn't look good Saturday night).

Murray said that Anderson *might* be back on the ice next week.

I think Auld will be fine if our D-men can rally around him and the forwards light up the other end.
Actually, Auld just needs to play decent which I'm sure he'll manage.  I'll be hoping Boston has an off night.
I'd like to see Lehner on Sunday....just to see how he is coming along if nothing else.
I think Andy will be able to pad up his blocker hand and duct tape his goalie stick to the glove and be good to go once the stiches come out.  :laugh2:
I just thank god it wasn't his catching hand.

As bad as this injury is, in terms of it happening to our #1 guy, at least Management gets a chance to take a look at Auld and Lehner this weekend leading into the trade deadline Monday.  I am not saying that Murray et al should change course and make a 'panic trade' but he, at least, has an option to make a trade if both our back-ups look absolutely horrible.

With that said, while I was initially  :duh when I heard about the injury, the fact remains for me that this is a rebuilding year and I really don't want Management to stray much from the actual rebuilding plan.  Sh*t happens (I vividly remember the whole Hasek abductor injury) and team's have to deal with it.

Rumours have Yzerman trying to pawn Roloson off on us, and us sniffing around STL's Ben Bishop.

Didn't see the game, but it sounds like Auld's performance wasn't of the "confidence-inspiring" variety.

Egad I hope not. Roloson looks done.

DEFINITELY don't want Roloson!!!!!!!!!  And as far as Auld's performance last night....other than the second goal - which he should have had - which put Boston up 2-1, he's not the reason, IMHO, that the team didn't have a better result last night.  The skaters for the Sens were "flat" last night for the first two periods (other than the opening goal) and I don't care who you have in net, a team can't beat the Bruins by playing only one period and after getting behind by three goals.  It's not going to happen, particularly with Thomas in nets.  Auld let in four goals on 37 shots...not bad for a back-up with a team who took the first two periods off, IMHO.

TSN is going with it.  For a second apparently.  I don't want to be sending away picks, but he's got some great AHL numbers and reasonably young.  I like it.

I know Lehner is the heir-apparent, but he's still not a sure thing.  I like having the two young goalies there to push each other.

Bishops AHL numbers are superb:

24-14-0  2.26GAA  0.928 SV%  6SO
