I would love to go on the road trip, sadly I'm busy at home stripping paint off some wood siding on the front of my house.....The best part is discovering some beauty Cedar under it all  :spin:

I'll tune in to watch the matches....hopefully they will be streamed again.

We just found out all of the second round games will all be broadcasted on Time Warner here in Binghamton.   :ccclapping:   :ccclapping:  The feeds I was getting were horrible.  Especially that one on hfboards.

Called for more tickets and the Sens office said the ticket sales were going real well for Saturday nights' game.  The guy I spoke with said funny I asked because Zack Smith had just been in there asking the same thing.   :laugh2:  They really want to play for a backed house.

I hope some of you can make the trip to Bingo.  Our barn is small but extremely LOUD, full house or not.

Lehner to start Game 1 in goal for B-Sens

After helping the Binghamton Senators to three straight overtime wins to close out their first-round playoff victory over the Manchester Monarchs, rookie goalie Robin Lehner has been named the starter for Game 1 of the Atlantic Division Finals against the Portland Pirates.

"Robin Lehner will be the guy," coach Kurt Kleinendorst said. "He stepped in, and he did a great job for us. He's won his last three games. He's helped us win our last three games. It doesn't take away from what Barry Brust has done-- he's had a great year. But right now, it's pretty obvious that Robin deserves to be there, and Robin will be there. And at the same time, it gives Barry the opportunity to heal some wounds."

Brust, who last played in the B-Sens' Game-4 loss, did not skate at practice on Monday.

Lehner went 3-0 with a 2.73 goals-against average and .929 save percentage in his first three playoff starts as a pro.

"I felt pretty good," Lehner said. "Just keep working, maybe get better and see what happens. I go in there and do my best. If it's enough, it's enough. If not, it's not.

"We need to trust each other," he said. "We need to be comfortable with whoever's on the ice. I'm comfortable with my defensemen, and I think they're comfortable with me. It's huge; if the players can be comfortable with me being back there, we can go full offense, and the defensemen can do whatever they need to do without thinking too much they have to do my job."

Some very mature statements coming from Lehner in the playoffs.   Must have gone to the Crash Davis school of interviewing!

Wish I could go - passport is in the process of being renewed and won't get here in time.  Gotta hope for another round.

I am sure to be spelling this wrong but I think there is also a player with a name like Gragnali (?).  Seems to me I read that on the weekend.

Yes and we lose more players.  Bass, Brust and a couple others didn't even make the trip.   :icon_banghead:  I tell ya the only luck Bingo has is bad luck when it comes to injuries.  Oh well, like I said before, they seem to do better when they are short bodies and the pressure is on.

I just hope we don't see so many OT this series.  My heart can't take it.   ;)

They played pretty much the entire game with 4 d-men, one of which is a ECHLer and Wiercioch who is an AHL rookie. Well done.

First game regulation win in the Playoffs for the B-Sens.   :ccclapping:

Leggio is the backup goalie for the Pirates and Enroth has been re-assigned to them but wasn't there last night.  Marc-Andre Gragnani will not be re-assigned with no reason given.  That's OK by B-Sens fans though.

Kleinendorst was impressed with the ECHL d-man, Bobby Raymond. "He's very smart, good skills, and he didn't get himself in any trouble. That's all I ask my D - don't get in trouble."

Zack Smith scored his first goal of the playoffs and said he was glad to get that "monkey off his back".

The sad thing for Portland is they only had a little more then 1500 people in attendance.   :shake:  I hear the game Saturday in Binghamton is just about sold out or close to it anyway. That's just over 4000 and it will be a "White Out."   Even on a week night with a loosing team, Bingo can get at least 1/2 (or more) the barn filled. Guess some places just aren't hockey towns.   :smily677:

I'm just taking it one game at a time but it would be awesome to win it all in game 4 at home.  Come on, the fans deserve it.   :ccclapping:   :laugh2:

GO B-SENS GO!!!!

5-3 B-Sens win.   :woohoo   Wowzer.  I  watched the first period and some of the 2nd, when it was still 2-0 Portland and the Sens looked flat with little energy.  The choppy feed was tough on the eyes, and Ithought they were having an off night, which can be easily understood.  Big kahunas to get it going and take the game, very impressed.

Potulny is slacking though, only one point

And game two in the books with the B-Sens storming back, down 0-2 to win it 5-3.   :happy dance:   :happy dance:

Goals by Zack Smith, Bob Raymond (ECHL), Bobby Butler and 2 by Kaspars Daugavins.  Way to go boys!  Nice standing ovation waiting for you at home Saturday night when you hit the ice.

Go B-Sens Go!    :happy dance:
