How do you know there wasn't an imam on board the ship? I think it extremely likely there was.

The US followed Islamic burial traditions as much as was practically possible, but like you've already been told there's no way his body was being handed over to become a shrine.
Maybe they should have burried him on land and when thousands of extremists flock to his burial site to pay homage you drop a MOAB on their asses. :)

So now the taliban are now starting their revenge bombings in Pakistan.  How long before the bombings take place on US soil.

I don't believe they're 'starting'.  Bombings have been happening in Pakistan for quite some time.  They're just changing their so-called reason.

I doubt there's any more Al Queda operating in the USA than there were two weeks ago.

It's not a great policy. Pakistan is in a pretty delicate state right now, and attacks on moderate Muslims will only motivate the people to push the government to harden resolve and start taking significant and serious action against the hardliners. The best thing the US can do now is sit back and wait for Pakistan to resolve their own issues or ask for help, which they're unlikely to do from the US but might do from NATO and particularly countries like Turkey.

And to repeat another....

The smear campaign starts here. Seems like a fairly good idea, do what you can to damage his religious credentials, diminish his credibility as a martyr and keep him individualised rather than allowing him to become an idealised legend.

:icon_agree:  Thought the same thing.  I don't believe everything the US tells us.

Also, when I go you can keep the virgiins thank you very much.  Send me about a half a dozen sluts and that would suit me just fine.

I don't believe everything anyone tells me.   Question though, are the virgins split between female and male?

But yeah, JE's pretty much got it right.  For such a top secret operation, the strangest details go public.
