This is just outrageously crazy!!!

Breast feeding activists in New Zealand raised so much of a stink over an ad featuring a dad bottle-feeding his baby that the New Zealand government actually decided to edit the image above out of the ad.

That is pretty sad.  If you don't like something, don't look at or watch it.

What makes it LOL-tastic is its for an anti-smoking ad!

At least it makes me feel a little better that the professionally offended aren't confined to just Canada and the U.S.

EDIT:  They should have had him wearing this:

That is too true.  I swear there are people who scan every ad, news clip, tv show and every other form of media just looking for something to bitch about.

What kind of world do we live in, when a loving father is allowed to feed his baby with impunity?!?! Pull the ad? He should have been hanged in public. I wish the NZ government would grow some stones and give this bastard the punishment he deserves!

Maybe there was breast milk in the bottle? Not every mother can supply enough and you do what you need to do.  This is just asinine.

Many years ago before the internet this crap would have been tossed out and onto the editing floor, but now days with so much garbage news sites and publicity outlets these idiots will eventually get their moronic point of view out there if they try hard enough.

You're absolutely right! I know a few proud fathers who gladly do their share of the baby feedings, using bottles of stored breast milk... I guess we're damned if we do, and damned if we don't.

I almost feel tempted to raise a stink against La Leche League as I feel discriminated against being a father of two.  Their message seems to be that only the mother can care and nurture children and that anything a father does is inadequate even if it still in tune with their message/goal of encouraging breastfeeding.
