Well, I don't think you should go after a player every time he hits one of your stars BUT you should when it's a questionable hit.  Neil did fight Boyle but it didn't amount to much as we all know Boyle is a wussy despite being a pretty big individual.

And the Sens got fined?  I must have been sleeping on this one...never heard about it?

Konopka has a great career ahead in the WWE when he's done with hockey.

I want to know how in Breendan Shannahan's eyes, Kenopka chirping Boyle is equal to what Weber did to Zetterberg. We thought it was a good thing when he replaced Campbell. I guess it's true that you should be careful what you wish for...

I don't think Shanny was trying to say the two were equal by fining Konopka $2,500.00.   It seems that amount is standard when fining a player.  And what Konopka did was wrong.  You wanna chirp someone, do it when he's not being interviewed.

You're right. I don't think that was the intent either, but it was the message. The point I was making is that it just seems wrong that Kenopka gets the same amount for chirping as Weber gets for his WWE move, and when you factor in their salaries, it cost Kenopka a lot more. I just think that the whole system is flawed, and firmly believe that Weber should have been suspended at least for one game, to send the message that crap wasn't going to be tolerated in the post season. By not fining Weber, Shanahan declared the playoffs open season on start, and look at the crap that has happened in every game since.

Unfortuntely Boyle has been doing his talking where it counts..on the scoreboard.   Scored in all three games and one or both game winners for the Rangers?

Ya, I know.  It sucked seeing him score last night.

Coming from a Rangers fan here you guys have out played us 2 out of the 3 games in this series and we could be the ones down 2-1. The only thing i have to say is the Rangers haven't played nearly their best hockey and they still find a way to be up 2-1 so if I was a Sens fan I would be a little worried kind of reminds me of us last year vs the Caps. Great series though and the Sens are a quick team and have been more physical then I thought.

Hey Hank, Welcome...
I would agree the Sens deserved a better fate in game 3, but overall I would have to say both teams have pretty much matched each others intensity and type of games played thus far.  We're still dealing with a team made up of a lot of youngsters so If I have to find some optimism in all of this, it's not so much what happens this year, but rather what our future holds with all this valuable Playoff experience our young guys are gaining.  We certainly have showed up in this series and pushed the Rangers hard IMO considering. The biggest difference has been the chances the Sens can't finish off vs the Rangers taking advantage of thiers. Otherwise, it's anyones series to take at this point.  If we happen to win it, it's all good....but if the Rangers win, and I expect they will despite my picking the Sens to win,  we still win. Who can complain about that?  :laugh2:
Now if  Spezza and Michalek would show up....anything could happen...but man oh man..do I like what I see from O'Brien, Smith, Condra, Greening, Karlsson, Cowen and the other up and comers.  Add in the kids we have in the wings and next year may add up to being a little more realistic for our post season success.  For now, if we can get a few past your tender...all bets are off as to how this series ends up.

The same could be said of the Sens. They have not played anywhere near the level they have shown over the course of many stretches during the regular season. But this is a fun series so far to be sure.

Shhh BM, you'll scare him away. :D

But I do agree.  The Sens have played very well and just can't seem to solve Lundqvist.  Another thing I note is that when the Rangers are down and around the Sens net there isn't as much net presence by Sens players as there is at the other end when the Sens are at the Rangers net.  I always saw like 2-3 Rangers BEHIND Lundqvist in the crease; something Im not in favour of since the goalie is supposed to be in the crease. :D

How Ironic that Alfie has been concussed twice in NY this year!  :icon_angry2:

Take this as you will, but it's time to give Lundquist a concussion!!!!  :smily1263:

Well it's that, or one hell of an coincidence that twice this year (both times from NY players) in all the years Alfie's been playing....... :paddle:

I don't "really" want somebody to hurt Lundquist, but do love how well Konopka & Foligno have been crashing the net, trying to get his game off!
