Whats this lockout gonna do to Alfies desire to play?
From interviews he says he is really enjoying his time off and being able to be more involved with his kids, which is a great for him, just not for fans ...

Should this season be a wash, and it's looking like it will be...then my guess is Alfie would start the next season so that he can retire after at least one home game.  No way in hell does he hang them up with out being able to say goodbye to the fans while in Uniform.

Wouldn't that be next century Rose?  12-12-2112 will still be abbreviated as 12-12-12.


But on topic, Alfie turning 40 makes me think that this will be his last season (if there is a season).

Century....you're right. :oops    It's been a tough couple of weeks around my place!  What I really meant was that none of us would see it happen again!

Alfie sure does seem to be enjoying his time off the pro hockey grind a great deal!  However, with that said, I also think he 'adjusts' as required.  But, certainly, time will tell.

I dunno.  I listened to a podcast that said the first person to live to 500 has already been born. :)
