Don't let it taint it too much though, he was one of many at the table. :)

I don't think it is knee jerk though. We have been talking about it in our association for at least 5 years as it has been debated at the league and district level. It's just finally come. Pretty much all of house outside of a few 'community leagues' and I believe North Bay still have some checking in house, but in most areas it is gone.

I think it has been at least 7-8 or so years since the GTHL made house league non-checking. Since that time, more kids are staying in past the normal drop off at PeeWee - it still happens, just not at the same level. Anything that makes that happen, to me, is an improvement.
