Agreed Bones.  This current mix of players has Chemistry like we've not seen before.  The only controversy is when do our Vets like Michalek, Phillips, Neil, Anderson, Lehner etc.. get back into the line up if at all.
Then you have guys like Greening, Peumple, Prince and whom ever else they bring up.

It's weird but I am very confident in the depth we have, and the fact this team knows how to win again thanks to Cameron.

I think this is a sign that the days of Neil and Phillips are numbered.  Nothing has been made of Neil since his injury, but I can't imagine he is still out solely due to injury.  Phillips has definitely been transitioned out of the lineup, I have not hear anything of him really since he broke Alfie's all time game record as a Senator.

It's funny in that leading up to the trade deadline I heard on TSN 1200 a number of callers say there is no way the team should trade either of those to as they are the remaining faces of the old team.  I have to ask if they still believe that.

I can't wait. Excuse my bandwagoning ways, but how have the sens been playing in terms of toughness and grit this year? When we demolished the habs 2 years ago it was mostly team toughness the habs could not compete against, is this years version the same, less or more tough?

The Sens are not as "Don Cherry" physical as they were 2 years ago against the Habs. However, it doesn't mean they are soft. On the California trip, they were not afraid of hitting since that's the kind of game they had to play. But against teams like Detroit or Montreal this year, the Sens were able to play that finesse game that those teams require you to play if you don't want them to make you look stupid out there.

I also thought it weird that right after he broke Alfie's record, Phillips just disappeared with an "injury". No update, just gone.

Could you imagine the conspiracy theories should it actually happen?

Coming out of Quebec?  For sure.

Can't wait for Wed to get here.

So far as Phillips, Neil... It's sad they kind of disappeared into the twilight...but in the same token, if we need their help in a series, I wouldn't consider it a major downgrade to put them in.  Well rested, Battle proven warriors.  I am sure they are both having some veteran input with the team.

Interesting that MacLean's go-to line last year is a full healthy scratch for the playoffs (Greening-Smith-Neil). His obsession with that line is what likely ended up costing him his job. Although Greening was not here for most of the year, the damage was done last year and the reason for the short leash.

Smith is the odd man out since Michalek is reportedly ready to come back. And your lines above are accurate, with I think the possibility to move Hoffman up with Zibby and Ryan.

As for Prince, he's probably going to be part of the "Black Aces".
